Induced at 37 weeks

At my 35 week appointment my blood pressure was 137/87. The doctor told me to watch and wait over the week. All week it’s been same range. I went back in it was 130/90. The doctor wants to call it gestational hypertension even though that’s technically 140/90 or higher. Because of that she said it’s best to induce me at 37 weeks which is a week away.

Does this seem like to much? They offered to break my water instead of Pitocin since they checked my cervix and I’m around 2cm.

But I’m wondering if this is absolutely necessary. I did get a normal reading today at home but I also got one back in the 130s/80s. If anyone has any insights I would love to know because I would love to go into labor naturally. This is my 4th pregnancy and no high blood pressure with the others.
