The last thing I did was accept an offer from someone who was willing to buy my book for 10 dollars.

As far as I can tell, everyone got rejected from the last UChicago wave yesterday, including me. Did anyone get in though? Uchicago was my top choice, but now I'm going to Brandeis.
Gotten off all my waitlisted schools so far (UW-Seattle, TCU, Colorado School of Mines, RIT). Now just waiting for UCSB and UChicago!
I've sent 162 job applications and I've only had 9 people respond. Out of that 9, 4 of them translated into taking a lesson. However I got a 1 star review from one of the students and ever since then I have had zero messages. That 1 star review was removed after I voided it, but I'm worried now that that affected me in their system by reducing my favorability even though the bad review is gone now. Does Wyzant do that? And is it possible the student reported me to Wyzant or something about being a bad tutor that I just don't know about?
Didn't get it but it's ok. Just randomly thought of it and checked their website just to see a new list was posted. When did they release this? I would be very surprised if it was minutes before I thought of it.
Just checked my portal and it’s the same as before. Heard some people saying it was blank? Is this a bad or neutral sign?
My family makes around 300k a year, at least that was last year. In previous years I’ve been told it’s been more or less, with less being probably around 200k and more being 900k. Since I didn’t get merit scholarships after getting off the waitlist, if I submit a fafsa now, how much would I be estimated to get? My parents have not sent fafsa before because they think we earn too much to get any if at all.
In the mean time, I’m thinking of going to the other UW.
Hey everyone, I was wondering when do waitlists come out. I haven't heard anything from them and I haven't seen anything on reddit about people getting off.
I had already deposited to SMU in Dallas as a biochemistry major (pre-med track). However yesterday I got the exciting notice that I got off the waitlist for University of Washington. Today Brandeis notified me that I received a grant worth 20k per year, making my estimated cost to be around 44k, my best estimation. University of Washington will cost 68k. I also got into UMD today from the rolling decision and my estimated cost will be probably 62k.
If I go to SMU (in-state), which wasn't my top choice, my parents will offer me incentive of a dog and a car. But there are very few asians and not very diverse there, mainly white.
I have until May 14 to make a decision as that is when my priority housing for UW-Seattle is due (enrollment deposit is due 21st) and also when Brandeis enrollment is due.
The UW-Seattle campus is very beautiful from what I've seen online and I'm still not sure if I will mind the overcast weathers.
Brandeis campus is kind of lacking from what I saw during my tour there.
SMU campus is pretty good I would say but not that huge.
Academically, I think UW-Seattle is strongest followed by UMD and then Brandeis and finally SMU.
I’m trying to decide between University of Maryland (direct Biochemistry major) and University of Washington Seattle (Pre-Sciences) and would really appreciate input, especially from current students.
UMD:
UW Seattle:
Things I’m considering:
I’ve heard great things about UW’s campus/research opportunities, but the pre-sciences thing makes me nervous since I know some majors can be competitive.
If you were pre-med, which would you pick and why?
I've sent 99 applications from the job board on wyzant and made a cool 80 bucks after commissions. I've tutored 2 students, with 1 student going ghost mode after booking a session. I have 2 five star reviews.
Does sending too many applications and not receiving response hurt me as a tutor on wyzant? How do I get more responses? Should I lower my price? My price is 35 dollars an hour but I usually lower it or raise it depending on their recommended price.
I did have a student who gave me a 1 star review but it's gone from my profile now and I'm not sure if she asked for good fit guarantee because I was still paid. She was a chemistry student who needed a session immediately so I had zero time to prepare and I worked problems with her from her study packet. Is that the reason why I'm getting no responses?
They don't care about my perfect math because I'm asian, that's what I'm supposed to be good at. Neither do they care about English because they claim grammar is easy.
I feel like crying.
Biochemistry major, approximately 12:30 pm. Did anyone else get off?
I just submitted my deposit to SMU despite already touring Purdue campus and falling in love with it. I also bought a hoodie from there. I was already set on going to Purdue and everyone I knew thought I was going there. However, my parents insisted that Purdue is too large and that rankings don't matter for premed and that I'm not ready to go out of state. So they didn't really give me a choice.
Hey everyone, I’m planning to go the premed route (biochemistry - chemistry) and wanted to get a better sense of what it’s actually like at Purdue.
A few things I’m trying to understand:
Also curious about day-to-day life:
For context, I’m drawn to Purdue because I really like the campus, size, and overall environment, but I want to make sure I understand the academic side before committing.
Would really appreciate any honest experiences, especially from current premeds.
So I just opened my decision letter, and I got waitlisted, which is probably my fault considering I applied at the beginning of April.
However, while I was reading it, it said there were only 2850 spots for 25000 people. I thought TCU acceptance rate in the 40s? I never expected it to be lower than Georgetown's and comparable to UVA.
Stats wise, I had like a 3.7 and a 36 on the ACT.
