Best tips for a newbie?

Just now working out after having kids back to back. I need to lose weight and get stronger.

What tips do you have for maximizing results?

What is the current best recommendations for diet?

I have heard things about Creatine? Protein powders? I have to add I am quite 'crunchy' and like to avoid artificial flavors/sweeteners

Do I eat before working out if I go to the early morning class?

Thanks, looking forward to learning from everyone!

please help 17 mo old regression???

17mo old. Never formally sleep trained when she was younger. Started STTN around 13mo.

6:45ish wake up

12pm nap for 2-2.5 hours. Falls asleep independently.

7:30pm bedtime, again falls asleep independently. We still give her a bottle and rock a little but she's awake when she goes in the crib.

Starting Friday she woke up and absolutely will NOT go back to sleep unless rocked until she is in deep sleep. We tried laying next to her on a floor bed, laying next to her crib, letting her fuss on and off. I don't really believe in cry it out but after 5 nights of being up for 3+ hours I am dying. Last night we tried letting her fuss and she would lay there quietly for 10 or so min then fuss on and off then be quiet for longer then fuss again. We went about this for over an hour and she just cannot fall asleep.

Just checked for an ear infection. Tried Motrin doesn't help. I dont know what help there is to be had but has anyone else experienced? Give me hope. We are going on vacation in two weeks and Im so nervous since we will be without a rocker/crib and she will be in a pack and play. FML.

Need some reassurance!

I have always wanted 4+ kids. I had 2 siblings growing up and always wanted more. Have always loved babies. Fast forward and Im a mom of a 2 (almost 3) and 1 year old, 18months apart. I also own my own business and work 2 days a week. So I feel like I am a "SAHM" but also not because my kids go to Mothers day out twice a week.

I am struggling. My 1 year old is very high needs, very charming and hilarious but wants to be held all the time, currently isn't sleeping well. I have a background of anxiety/difficult postpartum periods. I really struggle in the baby phase. I joke that if my kids could be born 2 years old I would have 6 LOL.

Does it get easier? Good night this is so hard especially with my second. Someone tell me to just keep trucking and have another! I love love being a mom and LOVE my relationship with my siblings but woof these little years.

Please help w this Tub😩

I’m hoping to get some advice from plumbers because I’ve gotten conflicting opinions

We moved in three weeks ago and noticed this tub is leaking on the bottom right side (pic below). This tub is on the second story and there were no leaks in the ceiling.

The plumber believes the leak is most likely coming from the drain assembly or its connection, but because the tub is already installed, it’s difficult to determine whether the tub itself has a manufacturing defect or if the drain is the problem.

The first plumber said that the plastic drain was leaking and told us to order another one and that it needed to be replaced.

The second plumber gave me three options:

  1. Remove the tub completely, move it outside, fill it with water to verify the tub itself doesn’t leak, install a new island tub drain, reinstall everything, and test.
  2. Remove the tub, take it downstairs to water test it, install a customer-supplied plastic drain assembly, reinstall, and test.
  3. Install the customer-supplied drain assembly only (no tub removal or water testing).

The tub itself is less than a year old and I feel like I would be able to see a leak or a crack in the actual tub?

A few questions:

Is removing and water-testing the tub the standard way to determine whether the tub itself has a defect?
Is there any other way to diagnose whether the leak is coming from the tub versus the drain without fully removing the tub?
If you were called to this job, how would you approach it?
I’d really appreciate any professional opinions before I decide how to move forward.

Help getting extra Iron for toddler/baby

Both my kids aren't huge meat eaters. 2.5yo is a great eater, 13mo old is very hit or miss. Anyway I just know her iron has to be on the low end of normal. She has pretty much self weaned so that's not an issue.

I was trying to think of something I could add to her bottle a few times a week to boost iron if she is low at her 15mo appt. Liver powder came to mind, anything else?

Edit to add - I dont want to always be thinking about trying to 'sneak' extra iron so trying to think of something to fall back on a few times a week that isn't a multivitamin.
