What Kind of Architecture is This?
This is my home, built in 1891 for a local lawyer and his family. I don’t think he was wealthy — records indicate he borrowed money from two wealthy sisters who later foreclosed when he died — but the house is the largest on the block. The rest of the block are vernacular houses of the same size and shape (same builder?) that are best described as Victorian Cottage I guess.
What kind of architecture is this, and do you think the plans came out of a form book or something? The triangular attic extends over the porch quite a bit. I haven’t seen that anywhere else in town.
The little yellow box in front is a Little Library I built for the neighborhood.
