Crazy how it's been 2 years since Rooster Teeth shut down, RWBY was acquired by Viz Media, and people were impatient with the series' lack of news.

Fast-forwarding to today, it's been 3 months since Volume 10 was announced as greenlit. I imagine there are people still impatient about RWBY, though, because it's only been greenlit and there's no real content coming out right now.

Go on. Talk about it all you want. But you should realize that I regret what I did to you guys.

I don't need mental help; I just need people to realize that was the old me.

Yeah, just a community.

It's not like I... umm... I don't even know how to describe my past actions. They were just awful, okay?

All I wanna say is THAT subreddit is "deleted." I made it private and removed myself as moderator. ZERO posts are being made in it.

I hate how people still see me as a danger.

In RWBY, Team RWBY and Team JNPR are the main dynamic. However, I feel like it would be much more fun and exciting if Team CRDL and Team CFVY became more prominent.

Think about it: These are four teams that attend Beacon Academy. It would be a missed opportunity not to have them interact frequently.

I know everyone's going to say, "Uhh, isn't Cardin a bully AND a racist?" Yeah, but arcs exist, I tell ya! I mean, they could even retcon Cardin being racist but still have him pull Velvet's ears because he's just a bully.

The only problem I can think of with making Team CRDL and Team CFVY more prominent (besides screen time) is the implications. As we all know, after the fall of Beacon, Team RWBY separated, and Ruby had to be with JNR for a long while, which is funny because it implies she spent more time with them than with Team RWBY. If Team CRDL and Team CFVY were connected with Team RWBY and Team JN(P)R, then how would they play into the story?

The best takeaway I can think of is having them go through their own journey with each other. I know that would mean another B-plot in Volume 4, but imagine how Ruby would feel once she sees them all at Haven Academy.

I'm just spitballing here, but what do you guys think?

It's been a decade since Cardin Winchester last appeared in RWBY, and he (alongside his team) hasn't been mentioned again. The only "mention" is in RWBY Chibi, but that's non-canon.

A while ago, Battle for Dream Island's co-creator, Michael Huang, was exposed for using alt accounts to do some... questionable things. As a result, I updated my controversial web cartoons meme to include Chimptopia, Helluva Boss, and BFDI. However, they are in the first panel since their controversies haven't been addressed yet. If they're addressed well and things go back to normal, they will be removed, but if they aren't and their reputation becomes tarnished as a result, they will be in the second panel.

When I posted my meme on r/IndieAnimation, people were commenting, "Why is RWBY there?" "RWBY shouldn't be there." "Just because it's a bad show doesn't mean it should be lumped with a groomer, another groomer, a neo-nazi, and a groomer apologist."

Here's the context for all the cartoons I added in this meme:

Cartoonmania (Animator320): The creator allowed his 14-year-old voice actor access to his NSFW account. He also reportedly flirted with another of his underage voice actors. Furthermore, he drew NSFW content of his underage characters.

C Students (AnimatedJames): The creator in 2014 (he was 21 at the time) started a relationship with a 16-year-old fan named Michaela Groves. They broke up on December 29, 2015, following the drama. The 17-year-old voice actress of Penny from C Students, Awkward Marine, also witnessed explicit material of the show and that James wanted to date her. Furthermore, James makes disgusting fart fetish art involving underage characters.

Alfred's Playhouse (Emily Youcis): The creator is a neo-nazi. Most of her work now focuses on that ideology.

Pretty Blood (Little Deadly Thing): He was into a disgusting fetish I won't be naming. Drew NSFW (more explicit than what Animator320 drew) of underage-looking characters. Was fine with minors watching his show that contains torture and sexual innuendo. Gave too many chances to a groomer (bearsalot), a racist (Screamingcatfish), and a fart fetishist (KuroMichi<333) on his Discord Server (bear in mind, LDT's server was filled with minors).

SOON:

• Helluva Boss (Vivziepop and SpindleHorse): It's a bit complicated. Vivziepop had a dramatic history with an artist called DollCreep. Vivziepop also complains frequently online, the worst so far being her complaint about the "If ____ was written by VivziePop" meme. SpindleHorse was accused of paying animators $35 per 24 frames per second. However, it doesn't seem controversial enough to defame Helluva Boss as a whole... for now.
• Chimptopia (Robert Pagliaro): After the Gameoverse jab, people dug up the creator's history and found out his questionable political views. However, people moved on, and things seem okay for now.
• Battle for Dream Island (The Huang Twins): Before I made this post, people knew about Oddcard, a deactivated Twitter account supposedly run by Michael Huang, which was first alluded to by Jazzy Oliver when she was fired from II after accusing Michael Huang of homophobia. However, Jazzy was fired because of her overall behavior online and kissing her girlfriend in front of an audience at the BFDI x II meetup. Anyway, Oddcard for months was seen as just (SUPPOSEDLY) Michael Huang getting into petty arguments with fans online. However, for the past few days, people dug up more and found out Oddcard said the r-slur and Michael had more deactivated alts like Art of Clapping, Objextioso, and Tob Warder. The Art of Clapping account tweeted a distasteful joke about Cary's dead friend from college. As of now, Cary Huang made a tweet that will respond to the whole fiasco going on with Michael Huang, so there's a possible chance BFDI will not be on here anymore.

BONUS:

• Confinement (Lord Bung): This entry will probably be in another meme for fanwork web cartoons. The creator scammed their fans, framed a YouTuber called Kwite, and episode 8 of Confinement turned out to be non-consensual sex. After all that, Lord Bung deleted everything.

So what about RWBY? What made me put RWBY in my meme in the first place?

RWBY (Rooster Teeth, now owned by Viz Media): There's a lot to list (well, to be specific, the ones that affected RWBY):

• A toxic, bigoted workplace environment
  • This made Tyrian's VA (who is trans) not want to work with RT.
    • However, she is willing to reprise her role as Tyrian as long as RT is no longer working on RWBY (TWEET 1) (TWEET 2) (TWEET 3).
  • The person who kickstarted the allegations, Kdin Jenzen, wasn't better, btw.
  • My time at RT: A TwitLonger post by Georden Whitman, the creator of Nomad of Nowhere and Port by the Sea, detailing how Rooster Teeth pushed him away from working on Nomad of Nowhere.
• Full Sail University Competition Wendigo Controversy
• Manipulating and stealing money from fans defending RWBY
• Blake and Yang's VAs making a questionable joke about Billie Eilish before she turned 18
• Blake's VA falsely accusing Ice Queendom's writer of domestic abuse
  • Ironically, Rooster Teeth had a domestic abuser on their belt for years, which they didn't know, but still.
• Blake and Yang's VAs opening an OnlyFans to celebrate a ship becoming canon in RWBY. Keep in mind, most RWBY fans are teenagers, NOT adults.
• Shane Newville's letter
  • This was further vindicated by Sheena Duquette, Monty's widowed wife.
    • Rooster Teeth threatened legal action over Sheena's RWBY cosplay posters.
    • Someone told Sheena about how Rooster Teeth treated Georden Whitman.
• Ryan Haywood being exposed as a pedophile
  • I wouldn't add this because I'm only listing RT controversies that affected RWBY, but since he voiced Peter Port and was a major figure at the company, I guess it counts.

Theoretically, I could also include Red vs. Blue, Camp Camp, and Nomad of Nowhere, but RWBY is connected with the most controversies Rooster Teeth has had before shutting down.

With all that in mind, do you think RWBY should be in my meme?

Will not be included:

• Steve Cutts: His animations have a mixed reception. That's it.
• Psychocuties (Tamakuz): I was gonna include this, but then I saw this Reddit post debunking the allegations. Sure, Psychocuties has heavy subject matter, but it isn't severe enough to make it controversial.
• Happy Tree Friends (MondoMedia): It's a black comedy gore cartoon. It's banned in Russia, but it isn't controversial.
• Skibidi Toilet (DaFuqBoom): Just because it's brainrot doesn't mean the creator, nor the series, is controversial.
• Terrible Mouse (Gutian): It's like Pretty Blood but with kids as the main subjects getting tortured. PB also has kids, but most of the time, adults are getting tortured. Despite this, Gutian hasn't done anything as awful as Little Deadly Thing has so far.
• Planetronika (Toonetik Studios): It's fanservicey, which made some people peeved. The creator had to block multiple users on Twitter for complaining about it. However, that's the only outrage the series caused, a small one at that.
• Fruit Love Island (ai.cinema021): It's just AI slop. That's it.

No shade to Dodge Greenley, but imagine if the Darkness could mutate a character beyond recognition like how Phos from Land of the Lustrous changed overtime.

I wonder if it's because Volume 8's finale was so bad that everyone wanted to know what happened next, in contrast to Volume 9's (and V9: Beyond's) ambiguous ending.

Just remember, Volume 8 aired from November 7, 2020 to March 27, 2021. Volume 9 began airing from February 18, 2023 to April 22nd, 2023.

The hiatus between V8's last release and V9's first release lasted for 693 days (nearly 2 years). During that timeframe, Ice Queendom was released in July 2022.

Now for the Volume 10 hiatus, Volume 9: Beyond aired from April 13th, 2024 to April 27th, 2024. It is currently August 24, 2026 in my timezone.

As of now, it has been 849 days (2 years) since RWBY last continued.

Hmm, let me think about:

• Next-to-no Cartoon Network characters.
• Melira and Aloy Boy are dead instead of being given fleshed-out personalities and worlds. Mind you, Dandy's World was reimagined for COA.
  • Happy Tree Friends, a series known for being brutal, is given the lamest treatment in COA. Meanwhile, the reimagined Dandy's World is given a brutal treatment.
• No explanation for why pre-2010s media and post-2010s media have Internet Slang and Artificial Intelligence respectively. In fact, no one in the alliance cares about that aspect. When are JoJo and Shellington gonna research it?

Meanwhile, A Learning Opportunity has CN characters, Melira and Aloy Boy alive, and internet slang and memes mixed in, no matter the era.

No shade to Crashy's Own Apocalypse, but A Learning Opportunity feels more... true to Dodge Greenley's vision. I don't wanna start a conflict between the two projects, mind you.

COA is great for its cast not being limited to a specific theme and its take on the Darkness having unique abilities like the color wheel or Discord calls. However, it doesn't have much CN in it, which is, you know, the MAIN network of Learning With Pibby?

Fortunately, A Learning Opportunity is gonna focus on what COA could have featured more if it wasn't limited to the interests of Crashy and his friends. That's why I called it COA but with CN representation. There isn't even a single song out (there's a document, however), but it's already looking great.

What happens when the Darkness fuses with the Grimm liquid from RWBY? You get the Grimmdark! Although it's impossible to see, Grimmdark individuals have a neutral expression because the Darkness' positivity and the Grimm liquid's negativity are merging with each other. They're also grey.
