Does this rug work with my living room?

I did a lot of digging to pick out this rug, waited two months for it to come, and now I feel disappointed. It doesn’t tie the room together like I’d hoped.

Is it actually not working well or am I just not used to it yet?

(Also for reference the extra open floor on the right out of the frame is the front door of my apartment. I wanted to keep that space clear as it is the natural walkway from the front door to the rest of the apartment.)

How do I make my small bedroom feel cozier?

Right now it feels small and cramped. I already have some wall art I’m going to hang this weekend.

Also FWIW the closet is very deep so I already have all of my clothes stored in there, so no need for a dresser.

Hung up some pictures and noticed a section of my wall is bulging. Why?

Worth noting it doesn’t feel like there is anything behind it. Just feels like there is an air bubble between the outer most layer and the rest of the wall. No signs of water (yet) and this is an exterior wall

This is a rental in an old house in the Boston area

Midea 10k making light crunching noise. Normal?

I’ve had my 10k unit for about two weeks now and I have recently started hearing a noise that could best be described as a light rattle or crunching noise coming from the outside portion of the unit. This noise is not constant and seems to be a bit on and off. The AC is otherwise functioning perfectly fine. Is this normal?

Just moved - which rug works better with my green couch?

Open to other suggestions if neither of these work well

Old apartment has two prong outlets - how can i safely use these with a power strip?

I just moved into an apartment in an old house which has a mix of two prong and three prong outlets. The kitchen and bedroom have all three prong, but the living room only has one three prong outlet.

I am trying to set up my living room and ideally would like to have a power strip in one of the two prong outlets for my “media center” which includes a TV, receiver, speakers, record player, and a PS5. This is based on location with my living room set up and needing at least one plug of the three prong outlet for my AC.

My options as I see it are as follows:

  1. Make this two prong outlet useable either with an adapter or GFIC two prong power strip.

I ordered a GFIC two prong power strip on Amazon but it is not IL certified so I am hesitant to use this. I also know adapters don’t offer any protection.

  1. Plug my power strip into the other plug on the one three prong outlet.

Issue here is this outlet is currently dedicated to my window AC unit and I don’t want to overload the outlet

  1. Run a long (8+ feet) power strip from the other room

Is there a way to make this two prong outlet safely work for what I intend to use it for? And if not, which of the other options is better?

Minor Water Damage in Bathroom - How to fix?

Moved into a new apartment and noticed some minor water damage in the bathroom as pictured. This is right next to the shower, and I think what happens is since the floor is slightly uneven, any water that sprayed out of the shower will accumulate there.

I pointed this out to my landlord who suggested duct tape, which is obviously not a real solution.

Should I caulk over this or is there a better solution?

Yellow marks on baseboard?

Just moved into a new apartment and I noticed the bedroom there are these yellow marks in the bedroom where the wall meets the baseboard.

I’m guessing this may just be old paint or something but I haven’t seen this at previous apartments. Does anyone know what this would be from?

Plastic window lift prevents unit from being up against the bracket

I just installed my 10k BTU Midea U and am noticing an issue when I close the window. My windows have these plastic parts to help lift the window, which prevent the unit from being completely flush with the bracket. See photos

I am worried about any support issues as well as it pushing the indoor part of the unit forward slightly, potentially reducing the drain angle. It is still tilted backwards tho.

Does anyone else have this? Is it a problem?

If this is a problem I guess I can use the bracket for flat windows to push it faoward slightly
