Antes ang pagbisita ni BBM, may balita na diri nga may isa ka teenager nga napatay sa Buntatala Creek sa Brgy. Tagbak sa Jaro nga hinali nga nagtaas ang tubig bangud sang padayon nga pag-ulan sang Hulyo 2025. Ang rason: isa ka unfinished nga flood control project sang DPWH nga ginpondohan ni Congresswoman Jamjam Baronda.

It's been a year since the death of that poor kid and the visit of PBBM. Wala pa sang may manabat sa kamatayon sang bata ukon bisan sa kamatuoran nga indi lang si Jaro ang nag-botch kag nag-delay sang mga proyekto. May ara man sa Lapuz kag Arevalo. Did Cong. Baronda assisted the family of the victim? Why is there no probe about the incident? Where is Cong. Baronda in all these, since she funded this and other unfinished flood control projects in Iloilo City which cost 4 billion pesos in total?

Just wanna share my video of Jaro Plaza. I live near here, and I usually go here after school and before going home. I appreciate this place very much. It's clean and safe here. While I miss Manila and my friends, this park has become a breath of fresh air for someone who's new here.

Iloilo City is not a perfect city. No city is a perfect city, after all. But I believe that Iloilo City, MY CITY, is better than others not just in terms of cleaner spaces. Ilonggos are friendly and welcoming. Kudos to the government, too, for making this city orderly and compassionate.

Maybe those elements make this city livable as they say. And maybe because kindness has become a way of life here, and I am now getting used to it.

As someone watching the impeachment hearing, I commend Sen. Judge Bam Aquino for his line of questioning toward NBI Director Melvin Matibag.

Short, simple, and straightforward. Pinag-isipan yung tanong, malinaw kung ano yung gustong malaman, at hindi na pinahaba pa yung usapan.

Hindi yung nagtatanong lang para paikot-ikutin ang witness o patagalin lang ang proceedings. Ang mahalaga kase diyan ay malinaw ang tanong at makuha yung sagot na kailangan. iykyk

Opisyal na kita nga nagsulod sa tig-ululan, kag kon ang mga bagyo regular nga nagasulod sa Pilipinas, imposible nga indi kita magkaproblema sa pagbaha. And definitely, Iloilo City is no exception.

Samtang ang aton siyudad indi mapunggan sa pag-progresibo, ang pag-uswag sang Iloilo mahimo mabalabagan sang mga problema kaangay sang sobra nga pagbaha. Sa nagligad nga mga tinuig, may mga panikasog nga atubangon ini. Apang, may mga kontrobersiya nahanungod sa indi maayo nga mga proyekto sa pagpahaganhagan sang baha nga padayon nga nagapaluya sa aton.

It will be nearly a year since the flood control scandal in Iloilo City slapped our faces, and this reality made worse when our very own representative, Cong. Jamjam Baronda, along with former DPWH Iloilo City District Engineer Roy Pacanan, are the alleged masterminds of this "palpak" projects, as how President Bongbong Marcos described them.

Imagine: 4 bilyon pesos ang ginpain para sa amo nga mga proyekto for three years, apang kalabanan sa mga gin-umpisahan nanday Cong. Baronda kag Engr. Pacanan ang substandard.

We take pride of being a good governance city headed by people-centered leaders, but we are letting politicians like Cong. Jamjam ruin the reputation of Iloilo. Lest we forget, she is one of the former allies of the former House Speaker Martin Romualdez and the fugitive former lawmaker Zaldy Co. No wonder she got lots of funds for her projects.

More than 40 projects worth 4 billion pesos gone to waste, no thanks to Cong. Baronda and her cohorts! Mabahaan gihapon kita kay ang makabulig kuntani sa aton diri ginpatumbayaan kag daw ginkawat.
