PS3 Overheating after deep clean and thermal pasting

Hey all!

I finally got around to to opening my CECHE and repasting it and giving it a much needed deep cleaning after it shut down on me after about 5 minutes of playing Gran Turismo 6.

So I go to play Gran Turismo 6 again after a day, and it just did the same thing, shut down after about 5 minutes, red blinking light.

Does anybody know what else can be done to prevent this from happening?

Personal media on Fire Stick 4k select issues

Has anybody gotten the personal media to work on the Amazon Fire Stick 4k Select? I've tried everything I've read about online, and I know this is the worst fire stick, it was free. I've just rearranged devices in house when I got it but am super bummed that I can't my personal media to work in my bedroom. When I hold the select button on the remote on the "my media" it shows my server but says offline, which any other device plays no problem.

If anybody has fixed this issue, I would certainly be grateful for any advice.

THPS3 N64: A Love Letter Eulogy

I recently played the hell of THPS2 on the N64 and decided I'd play the hell out of the N64 version of THPS3 regardless of how inferior it is to literally any other port and what I found (or how it made me feel, rather) actually surprised me.

It felt so familiar, yet so different. It was like listening to a demo of one of my favorite songs written by one of my favorite bands from one of their best albums, but its tone and general vibe sounds more like the album that came before it.

I admire what the devs who ported the game were capable of doing, the sacrifices they had to make and the final product that came out. It's rough, it's raw, and it reflects a lot more about what I love about THPS2 than the superior PS2 THPS3 is able to.

Alas, as THPS3 N64 never felt like something that I absolutely needed, I'm so glad I played it. It's a love letter to the other two entries of the previous generation, released as that generation was coming to an end. A fitting eulogy for what THPS was before its glorious reign on the next generation.
