I couldn’t resist not posting about this again. Also, an apology.

How for do you think they’ll go with the whole “this obvious mistake made by the image generator is actually a stylistic choice”?

No one genuinely believes a cigarette stabbing through an index and middle finger is a stylistic choice. You gotta cut the shit.

And since I’m banned from the sub, I’ll address people’s criticisms here:

I do regret using the words mentally impaired. It’s too harsh. What I was trying to say was that the chronic use of AI changes the brain’s dopamine receptors. It creates a need for constant stimulus, so a generated image with blatant mistakes is “good enough” because it fills brain’s need for dopamine. It’s similar to the effects social media has, and I would not call that mental impairment. I apologize.

No, I’m not karma farming. I genuinely thought the original post would get 100 upvotes top. Also, if anything, both of these subs are karma farming subs. Both generally suppress viewpoints contrary to either the pro-ai or anti-ai agenda. All you have to do is make a post pointing in the general vicinity of their sub’s topic, and you’re guaranteed upvotes.

Yes, my critiques of the image are my opinion. However, that was done to illustrate how the ai does not properly convey human emotion.

No, I am not an artist. I’m shit at art. You do not have to be an artist to know, in this instance, a cigarette phasing through fingers is not a stylistic choice, and that humans have chins.

How are Plat Players worse than Gold?

Just had two game where the healers were complete shit.
Had another game where team comp was terrible and nobody was peeling.

In the first game, on defense, I was playing Magik; swapped to healer because I noticed I wasn’t getting value and wasn’t getting healed even if I stood in front of the healers. We immediately get cart to stall for like 2 minute. Then one of the healers or tanks (don’t remember which) swapped to Magik. We lose point then get steamrolled. It’s almost like I swapped for a reason. On offense, I stalled on point as Magik until my team could get back. My entire team is on cart, or at least within a few feet from it. I ult, both healers and a DPS are focusing me. We C9.

Next game, I’m solo tanking. We’re on defense. I keep noticing that even when I’m half health and behind cover, I’m not being healed. I look at the scoreboard, my CnD is negative (like 0 5). They’re not running dive, and the supports are behind the wall on the first point of Central Park. Then my White Fox starts playing in front of me, and diving. For context, I’m not playing far back. The enemy team is right in front of me.

Next game, I’m playing Loki on Hell’s Heaven. I keep getting dove by a Thor and Star-Lord. I ping them, my team refuses to turn around. I let them know I’m getting dove, they don’t do anything. We lose that round. Next round, our tank swaps to DPS leaving our solo, negative Angela to solo tank. Keep getting dove, they do nothing. Angela refuses to get a health pack and just spams for healing.

This experience reminded me of why I stopped playing ranked. I need to get off this game for today. Definitely got that DPS inflated ego going.

It’s crazy how much player type can switch between one rank. Gold players aren’t good, but they aren’t self-destructive like Plat players.

Edit: I just watched the replay on the first game. My team portaled to point then walked off point when I ulted. I was too hard on the Magik player. Our Groom was mostly to blame.

Even Quickplay is miserable

I just want to have a fun time playing Rogue, but no. We HAVE to have four instalocks DPS. I HAVE to solo tank. They HAVE to run Gambit Mantis, and continue running that even when it's very clear we don't have enough healing. My healers HAVE to have ten deaths each when the enemy team isn't even running a dive comp, and the enemy's supports are nigh invincible. My team HAS to collapse when I'm not constantly there to micromanage. The third DPS HAS to swap to support even though I'm solo tanking and we're not doing enough damage.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not always on the top of my game or particularly good. I peak Gold-Plat. I have a tendency to overextend as well.

But these fucking players.

I was targeting the supports as Rogue. I assumed (admittedly, I should've looked back) my team had moved up to the cart because there was literally just a hulk and luna left, but no. They were 100-150 meters behind the cart; doing fuck all. I just needed one heal and the Luna would've died, but no.

The matchmaking in this game is so shit. I was originally against it because I like playing Magik, but we need role queue (at the very least to threaten the third DPS lockers).

I like playing tank, especially Rogue, but I feel like the image above every time I play the game.

edit: gave my comp rank from like 3 seasons ago rather than guessing what it would be now.

Support players are pricks

I know I’m over extending and that they’re being dove, but these supports suck. I’m stuck solo tanking but I have to baby sit the support because the three DPS players won’t. I will stand in front of them on critical health, but they won’t heal me. I will hover over Rogue, and neither of the supports will pick Gambit, even though everyone knows Rogue is extremely underpowered without the team-up. I’m already filling as tank because 4 other teammates instalocked DPS (and no, they won’t even swap to support). I just want to have some fun on Magik, but I’m stuck playing tank, and even then, I don’t get to play the tank I want because the supports don’t want to play one of the most powerful characters in the game. “No, I’m gonna stick to Luna even though I can’t aim for shit. This game totally wouldn’t be easier to win if I swapped to Gambit.”

This is partially a me problem, though. As previously mentioned, I’m over extending and playing Rogue into bad match-ups.

Feels like a dumb question because he’s a counter to magik. However, whenever I try to ignore him, he runs through my supports. Is it better to leave my team out to dry and focus on enemy supports or try to drain him health? I know the answer everyone is gong to say is swap, so don’t tell me that.

I’m tired of people railing on Magneto. Am I sick of being stuck in tank jail? Yes. However, Magneto is the second most fun tank I’ve played (behind Rogue). The feeing of bubbling my support at the perfect time never gets old. The feeling of pushing the enemy tank away from point in order to get them to C9; perfection. Aoe-ish projectile to compensate for my shit aim; perfection. Does being stuck in tank jail, and the only viable tank being either Groot or Magneto still suck? Yeah, but Magneto isn’t the problem.
