Pup play is pathetic. A true partner is a noble steed.
We’ve all seen it before. Kinky couples walking down the street in black dog masks, people buying furry tails, and even crazy stuff like crates and collars.
But why? Why is this the default animal for ‘pet play’ BDSM? A dog, seriously?
Is this *really* the best we can do?
Let’s look at it deeper.
What are dogs known for?
-Being impulsive
-Begging
-Being stupid
-Needing constant direction
-Easily swayed by food
-Naive and gullible
All of this is supposed to be ‘cute’ and ‘validating’ for the dominant ‘owner.’
Hello??? What about this is appealing?
Congratulations… you have a submissive, mindless, slobbering dog who never questions you and needs ‘headpats.’ Wow. So profound. So electric. So spiritual. And you might say: “Oh, but dogs aren’t stupid! They aren’t weak! They’ll run in blizzards! They’ll fight off coyotes! They’ll herd cows five times their size!” Yes, *real* dogs aren’t stupid. Real dogs aren’t weak or cowardly. But do these submissive furries ever embody the traits of a brave, lethal, competent hunting hound? NO!!!! They always act like stupid and SPINELESS LOSERS!!! Real dominance? It’s earned. And it has a purpose. Let me tell you where true magic lies. And that is no further than the majestic equine. Horses have stood by man in battle for thousands of years, and their relationship with us isn’t blind, stupid trust because we gave them a piece of cheese. To tame a horse, you need to be competent. Really competent. Horses are dangerous. They’ll kick your skull into pieces if you’re not careful. To earn one’s trust, you need to have a will of steel. You need patience, caution, and you need to be a master of reading the animal’s body language. But you also need to be assertive. You need to show that wild, untamed, powerful creature that you are the one in charge, and it should submit itself to you not because you will give it a sugar cube, but because *it can trust you more than it trusts itself.* Your authority is calm, not indulgent. The horse lends you its fierce spirit, like a blade lending itself to a knight, so that you two can conquer nations. (Or have crazy sex). But the horse never loses its autonomy. It never loses its identity. It doesn’t act stupid- it acts *trusting.* It’s always going to be a wild, intelligent thing. It just temporarily gives you permission to own it. Because you earned it.Now: You tell me. Which dynamic is more interesting? Which is more captivating? A kinky ‘master’ who is only able to master a brainless, whining person rolling over on the floor? Or the guy who had the sheer willpower to grind a lethal beast into trusting, competent submission, calmly patting its neck and turning the reins to a wild fronteir? So, to conclude. Any submissive-dominant petplay dynamic where the submissive doesn’t embody the traits of an autonomous, respected, majestic, animal, is pathetic. And that’s why society judges them.

- Would it be enough to scare him
- Could it change his mind or his ideals

reddit.comWhy do we need stimulation to do tasks?
A great example is people needing a podcast to clean, music to clean, or, the strangest I’ve come across recently: Needing instagram or tiktok videos looping while they do something menial, such as laundry, brushing teeth, or just picking something up. It will be “relatable videos” such as “I let this meme loop 40 times while I did laundry.” I find myself doing the same: I was recently folding clothes and there was a video playing, and I just automatically clicked replay when it was done, even though I had already seen it and had no interest in seeing it again, it just feels \*good\* to have something else going on while you do a task. Why?
[TOMT] [Animation] Spongebob Animated Parody on Youtube
I believe this one was more recent, within the last five years, probably within the last year tbh. It is basically narrated by a dark version of SpongeBob, who’s talking about his experience being Patrick’s friend. He doesn’t approve of Patrick, but he’s his only friend so he sticks with him. The story reveals that Patrick kidnaps people and takes them underneath his rock and forces them to be his slaves. SpongeBob admits he partakes, and then regrets it. The ending is a confrontation between the two. I remembered it being surprisingly well animated, or if it wasn’t exactly animated it had really nice drawings. I think the full video had a bunch of different stories, but this is the part I remember.
Did Lalo have prostitutes? Why or why not?
Hear me out: I know it sounds like an okbuddy chicanery question, but let’s genuinely consider it.
Throughout the show, we never see Lalo with another woman. This makes sense, strategically. No woman, no weakness. However, we see other members of the show, in fact, I’d argue *every* other member of the show, break that rule.
-Walter, as we know, has his wife.
-Saul has Kim.
-Don Eladio, it seems, has a bunch of hot women around his place.
-Mike had a wife at some point.
-Tuco? We never see it, but it’s safe to assume he spends his money and influence freely, including on women. Not much mystery there.
-Hector? Definitely.
-Nacho? Yes and Yes. He doesn’t have “prostitutes” but more so low stakes, low commitment girlfriends to hang around his place. Why? I think loneliness. Though he keeps them far away from his life.
-And most importantly? *Gus.* Yes, our Gus, our hyper competent, no nonsense, extremely serious strategic genius, has plenty of moments in the show to demonstrate his humanity, however rare. There’s max, obviously, his entire character motivation. And then there’s the scene in the bar, where Gus is obviously attracted to this wine guy, but chooses to leave because he can’t let himself get a weakness while he’s still on his revenge mission.
Our closest parallel is Gus. A grand, imposing, terrifying character- who still gets feelings from time to time.
Now, let’s look at Lalo.
First- I want to say- I completely understand why they wouldn’t show a moment of “humanity” for Salamanca. Cinematically, I get it. It wouldn’t be necessarily for the story, would detract from his mythos status, and would feel like a cheesy attempt to humanize someone who, let’s face it, is a cold blooded psychopath.
But- looking past canon- let’s theorize: Does Lalo ever pay for sex? I mean, if we’re talking realistically, he probably wouldn’t need to pay. We saw how easy he charmed Margarethe. *But*, we know this was an act- pure manipulation.
So, the ultimate question: Did Lalo ever have room in his heart for Love? Did it never exist? Or was it burned away, long ago?
We see that he enjoys simple pleasures, such as driving his car around. Is he asexual as well? Or just sees sex as the same thing as eating and pissing, just another function to take care of?
My ultimate theory would be once per week, or once per every couple of weeks. No strings- one night stands without looking back.
Thoughts?
Could they have saved Leah?
In Season 1, Episode 13, during the mass casualty event at the hospital, Dr. Robby works tirelessly to save Jake’s girlfriend, Leah, after a bullet tore through her heart at the festival. She’s awake and talking on the drive over, assuming because of the adrenaline, but the blood loss is severe. They think they feel a pulse after four units of blood and compressions, but the pulse dies, and Leah doesn’t make it.
Two points of dialogue stand out to me.
-One is from Abbott: “If she was our only patient,
we'd do a thoracotomy, maybe ECMO.But even then,
I doubt we'd get her back.”
-The other is from Robby, towards the end: “If this had been any other day…”
How true are these conditionals? What were Leah’s chances, truly, if all hands and resources had been on deck trying to save her?
