Episode format

Btw, I think the OD Knock episode will be released sometime in early 2027. Filming and creating one episode shouldn't take long. That's assuming the game will be released gradually, like a series. Maybe we will get release date trailer at Tokyo Game show(September) or TGA(December)

Vusual snow and astigmatism, ghosting, halo and streaks from light sources

Before developing VSS symptoms, I never had ghosting, halos, or streaks. I had my eyes checked and was diagnosed with 1 diopter of astigmatism. I'm told my astigmatism is congenital. It's strange how I never noticed symptoms of astigmatism until I was 25. Is this because my brain was able to compensate for it, and now I'm decompensating due to VSS? What do you think about this?

strange and rapidly progressing symptoms, constant FULL body numb

My mysterious symptoms appeared about two years ago. Oddly enough, it all started with a broken wrist. I fell on my hand in the street and felt severe pain. I immediately went to the emergency room, where they did an X-ray, but nothing was found and said it was just a sprain.

For several months after that, I suffered severe pain and a burning sensation in that hand. It was worse at night, and the pain would come and go. Then I developed an increased sensitivity to hot water (allodynia). One day, the pain and burning reached a peak so intense that I couldn't even bend my wrist or lift a mug.

Although the pain eventually subsided, and I began to gradually gain strength, my hand seemed to change; when I picked up something with that hand, everything felt different. I eventually got an MRI and discovered that I had an old lunate fracture that had already healed, but not perfectly; it was too late to put a cast on it. Although the pain subsided and the burning sensation became less intense, other symptoms continued to develop.

I began to feel increasingly strange sensations in that hand, random flashes of cold. Then I began to notice that the skin on my hand was changing, and part of it felt completely foreign, as if numb, with a slight livedo developing. Then I began to notice that I was starting to feel temperature worse in that hand. I also felt a constant sensation of a metal bracelet around my hand, as if something were constantly squeezing it.

All the symptoms shifted to the other hand. One day, I woke up with a slight numbness in my body and suddenly experienced a powerful autonomic attack. I felt a strong sense of impending death, a lack of air, and flashes of fear. After that, my numbness, which had initially only been in my hands, spread throughout my body, and after this episode, it intensified EVEN more. I called an ambulance because I thought I was having a stroke, but they checked my vital signs and said everything was normal and left.

After that episode, I began to feel a burning sensation throughout my body, occasional sunburns, dry skin and mouth, dry eyes, and numbness throughout my body. The condition progressed after each spontaneous autonomic attack, and then I had a severe episode of intense headache and throbbing in my temple that lasted about a week. I went to the emergency room because I felt incredibly confused, like I was about to lose consciousness. My body and nervous system seemed to be going crazy at that moment. I was barely admitted to the hospital and underwent numerous blood tests, organ ultrasounds, a full-body CT scan, and an MRI of my brain and neck, but they found nothing at all and discharged me with a diagnosis of anxiety disorder.

The numbness continued to progress. I felt as if blood vessels were bursting in my head, and my head went completely numb from the inside out. My limbs and torso felt like cotton wool, as if empty. I occasionally felt drops of blood on my tongue—that's just the sensation. From that moment on, I no longer felt any discomfort or pain in my head. My headaches completely DISAPPEARED, even normal ones. All sensations inside my head disappeared, and my head went numb from the inside out.

Then, after some time, hearing and vision problems joined my already terrible symptoms. Symptoms resembling visual snow appeared, and my vision became dim. My hearing became very muffled. I consulted audiologists and ophthalmologists, and they underwent MANY different tests, but they found nothing. They believe my hearing and vision symptoms are related to a neurological disorder.

Over the course of this time, I visited numerous doctors, several neurologists, and also underwent additional tests myself. All the symptoms continue to progress. I barely feel my body in space, how I swallow, how I move my limbs. My sense of taste and smell have also become dull, but my EMG is normal, but I feel as if my body is empty. My hearing has become very muffled, but my audiometry and ABR show normal results time after time. I don't know what to do; I've almost given up, I feel like my nervous system is rapidly dying

P. S I forgot to say that for the last few months I have been experiencing the sensation of phantom cold drops of water in different parts of my body, and it seems that in the place where this happens, I feel that the numb is progressively worsening. ALSO I had severe tachycardia, my heart could beat for about a week without stopping, as if it would jump out of my chest

Why do people write everywhere that OD will be cancelled?

Seriously, why do they write almost every year that OD will be cancelled just like PT, even though no one has ever written that about Death Stranding? It feels like people want this game cancelled

pain and feeling sand inside the eye, like retina

After the onset of VSS, about a year ago, once a week I have a strange sensation inside my eyes, as if someone is pinching off part of my retina and my eye immediately starts to watering and squint, or as if there are small grains of sand on my retina. I think this description is close enough to what I feel. Does anyone else have this?

Stop thinking that the player face scanning theory is possible

I understand it's fun to come up with theories and all that. But since the very first trailer for OD, people have been speculating that the game will be able to scan your face during gameplay and even integrate it into the engine in real time? It's literally impossible, and even if it were possible, it runs the risk of acting unpredictably and creating a lot of bugs, which could easily ruin the atmosphere of a horror game and turn it all into a clown show. All these theories point to the first teaser in 2023, but that trailer was just that because it was more of a technical demonstration of how beautiful the Metahuman facial animation will be in the game. There's no way you, players, will be using facial capture in a game played by Hollywood actors, sigh. We just need to move on and discard these theories, which already sound very unconvincing and far-fetched. Kojima has already given us a solid hint about how this unique system will work. He says it's meant to help players who struggle with horror games like this; facial motion capture doesn't fit in and wouldn't help with such mechanics. I don't think we learned anything from Death Stranding, where it was also quite difficult to imagine how that game would work. But remember all the crazy theories that surrounded DS1 before its release, and remember how everything turned out to be much simpler than everyone thought.

We'll have to wait..

It's a bit of a shame that we're getting more information about OD than Physint. Although I think Kojipro was a bit hasty when they announced the game SO EARLY.

It was 2024. They originally planned to start casting that same year, but they were thwarted by a long-lasting strike that also disrupted OD filming. Even at the time of the initial announcement, Kojima expressed the opinion that they would begin Physint development in earnest after the release of DS2, but it seems the plans were changed due to the SAG strike aftermath, as it pushed Physint casting and OD filming back to 2026. The schedule has essentially shifted two years, and Physint is still in the scanning phase.

Apparently, the game is still very early in development. I don't think we'll get a teaser trailer until 2027, but I'd like to be wrong.

I've always wondered if Kojima would ever make a new MGS-style game, and overall, I didn't expect him to. He's already said he was very tired of being stuck on one franchise back then, and he was probably even glad to be freed from that. It's interesting that he finally decided to make concessions to the fans and create such a game; it will be interesting

OD graphic

I was thinking PT was photo realistic, but this game looks literally like real photo

I think it's time to stop trying to find a connection between OD and other game series

This game has nothing to do with the SH series.

but i understand why SH fans do this, it's because they get new soulless, not scary and uninteresting games in the SH series and they have to discuss other horror game that they would really like to see as part of their series, i apologize of course, but it's true

Theory of special mechanic for chikens

The current theory that the pieces of paper with eyes are the players themselves seems a bit unrealistic to me, so I came up with my own theory: Look, maybe this will work like asynchronous multiplayer in Death Stranding, to help chicken players progress if they can't move forward on their own due to fear. We know from Kojima's words that this mechanic will almost certainly not be used to hinder each other, but rather to help or guide. Speaking of these weird pieces of paper with eyes, maybe through them you'll be able to watch a fast-forward recording of other players' progress, basically playing out key moments, and as you watch each piece of paper, you'll have to piece it all together and try to recreate the same actions the other player did to complete the current level and move on, I think it would be very convenient because you can essentially watch guides in game without having to leave the game and break your immersion to watch a guide site or YouTube. I don't really think you'll be able to watch other players in real time, but you can see into the future/past within the context of the game and get hints and might be able to track key actions of other players right inside the game that are already recorded by the game system using cloud technology. What do you think?

The game will most likely be exclusive to Xbox

I think it would be nice if the Xbox had a Kojima horror exclusive. It would help attract more people to the console. I see PS5 fans everywhere yapping that nothing should have exclusives except their own console. I also see some stupid comments where people claim that Kojima is a traitor because PT was born on the PS4, but now he's releasing OD on Xbox, completely unaware that it's not up to him, and Sony themselves rejected his OD idea because, as Kojima said, only Phil Spencer understood his idea. Anyway, PS5 fans, let us enjoy our exclusives too

The TV will work exactly the same as the radio in PT

The radio in PT simultaneously served as a scare element for the player and as a means of providing information and background on what was happening, and I think the TV in OD will work in exactly the same way. With the TV, it's possible to create even more scary moments for the player, telling them something while simultaneously showing some cursed/horrible footage. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the intention.
