Seroquel (quetiapine) has worked wonders for my mom’s sundowning.

If anyone is looking for some help with restless night time behavior, this has worked great for us. 12.5 or 25mg has calmed her down dramatically and led to long good nights of sleep ( for all of us!)

Just added again today. Avg in price now $4.55.

Still very underwater but was able to lower my avg price from $5.15 to $4.55.

Not a small position for me. Planning to hold for a while. I owned UUUU for 7 years (8 bagger) and hope for a similar return here but in less time.

Simple thesis here. The need for REE will never go away and our reliance on China is unsustainable. The midstream refining is the critical stage and the bottleneck.

Felger trying too hard on these Sox moves.

I agree with Felger far more often than I disagree with him. That said, listening to his takes on the sox trade deadline moves this week has been irritating the shit out of me.

Mayer has been an F- in all aspects of the game. This is addition by subtraction. I also have some confidence that they can improve Miller’s command and control and turn him into a LH weapon out of the pen.

Catcher has been a black hole offensively for them and lately I feel like Narvarez has been sloppy behind the plate too. All good teams have a good catcher. It is the most important position on the field and this is a big upgrade. He’s 28, he’s not a broken down 35 year old. Witherspoon’s ERA is almost 5.00. Forget the prospect rankings. This was Eyanson for a proven major leaguer. I’m fine with that.

I can take some issue with Early for Mead but I’ll hold off on that one until Mead is back.

Is the Bronx the most offline borough?

Looking at membership of sub reddits, the 1.5m Bronx has fewer members than 500k Staten Island.

Rare earths giveth, rare earths taketh.

Mostly taketh these days. Made very good money last year in UUUU, NB, and USAR. Like more than my day job type money.

But the universe is having its way with me this year. Just hit down 50% in UCore. Not a small position.

Will hold and ride it out. I am convinced China will use this leverage again and even if they don’t, the US must and is building out its own REE supply chain.

Thoughts on this?

89 year old Mom recently had a step change in cognitive decline.

Before this change, she never wanted to leave the house. Maybe for 15+ years. Now suddenly she wants to get out everyday, multiple times a day. It’s wearing us all down.

Calling all chart nerds. When do we find support level?

Feels like $200 ‘could’ be a support level looking at 1 year trend line before the crazy spike from 200 to 300. But I am a simple cave man so if there are any more sophisticated chartists out there, please weigh in.

Sox team ERA without Crochet & Bello would be 2nd in MLB

3.70 with their stats, 3.36 stripping them out.

Another Felger verbal annoyance

Sometimes his accent and pronunciation annoy and baffle me. The “sawry” is well known but when did rid become “red”? As in “I don’t think they’re going to get red of Brown.”

Track corridor in Western Crown Heights

Anyone have info on these tracks? They run between Franklin and Classon. Are they still active, where do they go etc?

If you think the Sox offense is soft, check out San Diego

Team batting avg of .215. Dead last in MLB by a lot. Also last in runs scored, OBP and SLG.

Manny Machado hitting .175, Nick Castellanos .191 and Freddy Fermin .126 (!!!).

Oddly though, they’re 2 games above .500 and 5 games better than the Sox.

Home HVAC question

Does an exhaust fan on the 3rd floor of a house (a finished and occupied 3rd floor) help or hurt an AC unit that is installed on the 3rd floor? This AC unit cools the 2nd and 3rd floors of a 1920’s large wood house.

Does the exhaust fan pull the cooled air out or does the cool air settle lower while the exhaust fan (installed above on roof) removes hot air at the top of the house?

Thanks in advance.

Watched a great track by track breakdown of Limelight by producer Rick Beato. Absolutely fascinating to listen to.

Search it out if you’re interested in how Rush constructed songs. Such music pioneers.

Sox batters have only been intentionally walked 2x out of 2,107 plate appearances this season.

Abreu and Anthony. A collective smiling middle finger from the rest of the league.

Dumped UCO ETF. Trades like garbage.

I still think oil prices will go higher, but I don’t think UCO is the best way to play that. It trades like shit.

Still have XLE to play broad energy stocks and DBA to play fertilizer disruption.

Open to suggestions.
