I have reached the point where I think I am finished holding $XRP and tired of the “XRP IS SET UP TO MOON TO $10 TUESDAY” and “I FEEL SO SORRY FOR THOSE NOT TAKING ADVANTAGE IF THIS XRP DISCOUNT!!!” just to watch my portfolio get the gold medal in Olympic diving. I think I am cashing out and cutting my losses.

With all that being said, I still retain a relatively significant amount of other crypto assets, but I have not been keeping up with any other than $XRP (I’m
a sucker who believed in the project). What do you guys all consider to be a solid investment? I’m not looking for a quick flip, but rather something that will cumulatively grow with safe, conservative momentum.

I am so incredibly confused by the response of this community towards the X4 Pro. Specifically, I have seen numerous people opt out of getting the X4 Pro in favor of the X4’s USB-C charger. You are essentially giving up the ability to do hours of reading in the dark for a more preferable charging adapter. I would gladly take the original iPhone charger if it were on the X4 Pro. What say you, forum?

I finally got my hands on the X4 Pro today. I love it already! I’ve been able to add books onto it via the cloud method, but I really want to organize my device. I have file genres with corresponding books on the X4 and X3, but for some reason I cannot get the iPhone XTEINK app to connect to the device to utilize the file manager.

I go to settings (on X4 Pro) and then the top option that brings you to the QR code for your phone to scan/connect. I get to where I choose which WiFi I want my X4 Pro using, but after that the X4 Pro screen resets and goes back to the main menu book shelf. I’ve tried a ton of variations, reset the device, used different WiFi, tried other apps that worked with the X3 and X4, but I have gotten nowhere. It’s up to date and on stock firmware.

I’m at my wits end! I really wanted to give the stock firmware a shot, but that may be something I’ll have to give up. First I figured I’d ask you all to see if maybe I’m missing a glaringly obvious step, or maybe if others are experiencing the same problem as I am.

Either way, messy files and books all over the place aside, reading in the dark while my wife snores is just lovely. I’m very glad I got it!

I remember seeing an AI generated video on X that I think was titled “Shape Factory” or similar. The word “shape” was certainly in it. It seems almost like an uncanny rap music video of sorts. A fella eats a shape and his eyes inflate, there’s colorful shapes literally everywhere, it was posted between six months and a year ago, and the audio/song is not English… that’s about all I remember! It’s driving me insane!

I was uploading some books to my X4 and got the option to “optimize .ePub”. Sounds like it’s a good thing, right? Well when I did it changed the file size from 11.3MB to 31.6MB… that doesn’t seem very optimized to me; so what exactly does it do?

To begin, I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian and an American. I am firm in my faith and am not looking to covert. I am more curious than anything, and in an attempt to understand the Anglican Church better, I wanted to ask this question: why Anglicanism?

I absolutely adore Anglican Church architecture, liturgy, and enjoy the Book of Common Prayer, so I mean this with the utmost respect. I know that the history and creation of Anglicanism is more nuanced than “a king wanted a divorce that the Pope wouldn’t allow”, but I still don’t understand why someone would choose to be Anglican if they were not born into it. [ EDIT: (the bracketed portion was a bit misleading and offensive. I did not mean to imply that there are no reasons to be Anglican, simply that I wasn’t aware of the apologetical claims of the church. I apologize for the confusion and misunderstanding!) It seems to be more of a political entity than religious, but that may be entirely because of my ignorance that I think that. Why wouldn’t someone choose to be a sect whose creation was with the intent to “correct” theology or is an ancient church with claims to continuity?]

I really hope you all do not take offense to this. I truly do not mean it to be offensive, and I have nothing but respect and love for my Anglican brothers and sisters. I just want to “steel man” the Anglican position, in a sense. I truly do not have any malice, only curiosity!

I have had my X4 for about a week now. It has been absolutely amazing and extremely intuitive. I was able to flash Crosspoint onto the device (so easy!) and have been smooth sailing since. Until today, at least.

I tried to download two religious texts to the X4. They both were around 35MBs and took a bit to download and transfer. I tried transferring via hotspot and the same WiFi, used two separate apps from the Apple Store to transfer, deleted and reinstalled from different sources, and even tried using the regular browser transfer. The files will load onto the device, but when I attempt to open either of the books, the device freezes for about twenty seconds and crashes. After it crashes it reboots itself and creates a crash report (which isn’t very detailed or helpful).

Has anyone had trouble opening larger .EPUB files on their device? Is there a solution to this? My last ditch effort will be trying to upload the book from my laptop onto the SD card directly. Any help is greatly appreciated!

How should I go about going from the X4 to the X3? As in, how do I get all my books and current progress moved to the new device? Is it as simple as moving the X4 SD card to the X3? Or is it more difficult than that?

I was working my way through “Thinking Orthodox” by Eugenia Constantinou and found out that Holy Tradition held to the belief that St. Lazarus was buried beneath the Church of Saint Lazarus. His remains were found following renovations and excavations after the church suffered a fire. This verified the Holy Tradition of passing on the belief that he fled persecution, settling in Cyprus and being ordained by Apostles Paul and Barnabas. Does anyone know of any other circumstances where Holy Tradition was later verified to be true after stumbling upon new evidence?

(I know that Holy Tradition is true regardless of discovered physical evidence, but I find this corroborating of Holy Tradition story to be incredibly interesting!)

I am an E5 in the National Guard (MDAY). I’ve been in almost nine years now, and have been able to accrue roughly $15,000 in my TSP (not very impressive, I know). I recent got rated by the VA and thus will no longer be receiving drill pay at all. Because I won’t be contributing anymore to my TSP via Guard pay, would it be smarter (or even possible) to transfer the TSP to, say, a Fidelity IRA? Or could I use my VA compensation to contribute to my TSP still? I’m very new to investing and finance. I’m not looking to withdraw the money or risk it on silly investments, I’d rather leave it where it is or put it in a comparable index fund or something.

I know, I know, another “venerating icons” question…

I promise I searched for something that answered this, but I have yet to find anything sufficient in my eyes. So, please give me some grace as this is my single hangup with Orthodoxy…

We have ante-Nicene fathers that explicitly condemned the veneration of icons. A few being Clement of Rome, Tertullian, Origen, Eusebius, and Epiphanius. Additionally the Council of Elvira seems to be aniconic in nature, too.

I guess my question is this: if Holy Orthodoxy claims to be the unchanging church, but the earliest evidence shows condemnation of icon veneration up until closer to Nicea II, how is this not an development of doctrine?

I understand the concept of the honor is passed to the prototype, but I would suppose that the ante-Nicene fathers understood this as well but still believed icons weren’t compatible with Christianity.

I really appreciate anyone and everyone who takes the time to read this and respond! I truly believe Holy Orthodoxy is the Church established by Christ. I am a catechumen. I venerate icons. I just hope to soothe my doctrinal anxiety of sorts so that I can enter the Church with no reservations!
