[AI] How would you approach building an interactive portfolio section like this?

I came up with this concept and used AI to visualise it. I want to turn it into an interactive section for my portfolio, but I'm not sure what the best way to build it is.

The interaction I'm aiming for is:

  • Hovering or clicking a node highlights it.
  • The content card updates based on the selected node.
  • Smooth transitions, subtle glows, and polished micro-interactions throughout.

For those who've built similar experiences, how would you approach this?

  • Would you build it entirely in Framer, use Rive for the interactions, or combine multiple tools?
  • How would you structure the interactive nodes and connecting lines?
  • Are there any tutorials, examples, or resources that cover a similar workflow?

I'm not looking for someone to build it for me. I'd just like to understand how experienced designers or developers would approach bringing this concept to life.

Looking for Wattpad Readers & Writers for a Short UX Research Interview

Hi everyone,

I'm a Product Design student working on a UX case study around Wattpad, and I'm looking to speak with a few Wattpad users.

I'm interested in understanding:

  • How readers discover new stories
  • How writers gain visibility
  • How people interact with the Wattpad community today

I'm looking for:

  • Readers
  • Writers
  • People who are both readers and writers
  • Long-time users as well as newer users

The interview will be informal, around 20–30 minutes, and can be done through chat or a quick call, depending on your preference.

I'm not affiliated with Wattpad—this is purely for a personal design project.

If you're interested in helping, please comment below or send me a DM.

Thank you!

Moderator note: This is for a personal UX research project and not a promotional post. I'm simply looking to interview Wattpad users about their experience with the platform.

Why Do Authors Monetise Their Work on Different Platforms Instead of Wattpad?

So, I have a question for authors who publish their work for free on Wattpad and then later monetise it on a different platform. Why do they do that? You can also monetise your work on Wattpad, so why choose a different platform? Is it because of platform fees or something else?

How to cure vaginal dryness?

I am 23 years old, and for the past week, I have been experiencing dryness in my vaginal area. I don't use any kind of vaginal wash, but now I feel a slight burning sensation when I urinate, along with some irritation. I am also about to get my period. How can I cure this issue?

Did the old Kalighat Peda disappear, or am I imagining things?

Need help from old Kalighat temple visitors.

A few years ago, whenever I visited Kalighat Temple, the peda/prasad sold there used to be amazing, with a very soft texture, creamy taste, and not overly sweet. It was quite different from the usual peda you find elsewhere.

I recently visited again after a long time, but almost every shop seemed to be selling the same type of peda, which was much sweeter, grainier, and honestly not nearly as good as what I remember.

Does anyone know if the old-style peda is still available somewhere around Kalighat?

How Did You Get Your First Tech Job Without Referrals, Connections, or a Tier-1 College Name?

I genuinely don’t know what I’m doing wrong anymore.

I’ve been applying for UX/UI and product design roles for almost 1 year now. During that time, I’ve revamped my portfolio multiple times, rewritten case studies, improved my UI skills, learned new tools, and kept applying consistently.

But still almost no interviews. In the last 3 months, I got only 3 interviews. After the first round, each company gave me assignments. I completed all of them properly, submitted on time, and then got ghosted. No feedback. No rejection. Nothing.

What makes it harder is that I’m starting from absolute zero. No family in tech, no relatives in IT, no connections, no referrals, nobody to guide me through the process.

So I did what everyone says to do. I went on LinkedIn. I messaged people politely and personally, not with copy-paste templates. Most never replied. Some saw the message and ignored it. Meanwhile, my feed is full of posts saying “my DMs are always open” or “happy to help juniors break in.”

At this point, I honestly don’t know where to apply anymore or what strategy even works for freshers trying to enter UX/UI in India.

If you managed to break into this field recently without referrals or connections, I genuinely want to know how. Where were you applying? What platforms actually worked for you? Did cold emailing startups help at all? How did you get your first real opportunity?

For a long time, I wanted to talk about this topic. I started reading Wattpad 2 years ago when I was 20, and at that time, I also did not have much idea about s*x, but now we have much more of an idea of real-life s*x.

My concern is how these unrealistic s*x expectations from books are ruining young minds, especially teenagers who do not have much idea about this topic and rely on fantasy books. Maybe you will think I'm just ranting, but I have seen enough comments on this topic from kids and their expectations.

I am very concerned about how much it will affect their real life. The books they are reading or what the authors write need to be called out, or at least taught to them. I know people read romantic stories not to get educated, but at least keep things realistic. Nobody does s*x all night. Itna stamina kisi mein nahi hota, nor will it be all butterflies the first time.

I'm not saying that authors should write all the terminology of real life about how sex works, but please don't make it unrealistic. I was watching reels, and a reel popped up where girls were saying how much they want their partner to be big, like WTF. If you guys have seen the lady who talks about Kamasutra, she says biologically 3 inches is enough to pleasure a woman, but no author has to write how he is 10 inches, 20 inches—like seriously.

These things can destroy your relationship with your partner. And to all the teenagers or someone who doesn't know about sex, please do read about these things. Do not believe what you read in fiction. I'm not a pro and don't have any practical knowledge, but as a fellow reader, I thought to share my thoughts.

Edit:- I think some people clearly misunderstood my post, saying that I should not expect realism from fiction. But my point was not that, I clearly said that at least don't make unrealistic things which is not posible in this lifetime and yes it effect people very much. Does not matter whether it's fiction, literature, or anything, if you are consuming any thing than it will has it effect, be it positive or negative.
