Building a tool for small businesses to track daily operations. Looking for honest feedback from business owners.

Hi everyone,
I'm a solo developer from India building a SaaS for small businesses like clinics, salons, restaurants, retail stores, gyms, etc.
The idea is simple:
Create recurring SOPs/tasks
Assign them to employees
Employees upload a photo as proof after completing the task
Owners can see business health, pending/missed tasks, and everything from one dashboard
The goal is to stop relying on WhatsApp messages like "Done sir 👍" without knowing if the work was actually completed.
I'm still building the product and would really appreciate feedback from people who actually run a business.
I'm looking for 5–10 business owners who'd be willing to:
Try the product when it's ready
Tell me what's useful and what's missing
Share the problems they face in managing daily operations
Your feedback will directly influence the product.
If you're interested, please comment or DM me. Even if you don't want to test it, I'd love to know how you currently track recurring tasks in your business.
Thanks!
Manish

UAE business owners: How do you manage daily SOPs?

Hi everyone! I’m building a SaaS called SopFlow that helps businesses document and manage their SOPs. I’m looking to understand how clinics, salons, restaurants, gyms, and retail stores in the UAE currently handle onboarding and daily operations.
Do you use Google Docs, Notion, WhatsApp, or something else? I’d love to learn about your workflow. If anyone is open to trying an early version and giving feedback, I’d be happy to give you a demo.

Bangalore Founders, Let’s Connect!

Hi! I’m building SopFlow, a SaaS platform that helps startups document, organize, and manage their SOPs and internal workflows in one place. The product is ready, and we’re looking to partner with startups in Bangalore for early adoption and feedback.
If you know any founders or startup teams who might benefit from this, I’d love an introduction. I’d be happy to give them a quick demo and explore how we can work together.

how do you manage guys?

If you have employees doing recurring work (cleaning, opening/closing, inventory, equipment checks, etc.),
how do you know the task actually got done?
Do you:
Trust your staff?
Use WhatsApp?
Use a checklist?
Physically check yourself?
I've been talking to clinic and salon owners, and many still rely on WhatsApp messages or just asking employees. I'm building a simple tool to solve this: Create recurring SOPs/tasks Employees upload photo proof See your business health in one dashboard Get notified if a task is missed I'm still building the MVP, so I'm looking for honest feedback more than customers. Would this solve a real problem for your business? What would you change? If you'd like to try it when it's ready, I'm offering a 7-day free trial to early users.
Just comment or DM me, and I'll add you to the waitlist.

Curious to know how other small business owners handle this.

I think I'm building something nobody asked for 😅

I'm 21 and I've spent the last few weeks building a SaaS called SOPFlow.

The idea is simple:

Small businesses tell employees:

  • "Clean the washroom."
  • "Open the shop."
  • "Check inventory."

Most of it happens over WhatsApp.

No one actually knows if the work got done.

So I'm building an app where owners assign recurring tasks, employees upload proof, and owners can finally stop guessing.

The problem is...

I've been coding nonstop and now I'm wondering if I'm just solving a problem I think exists.

If you run a small business (or have worked in one), I'd love to know:

How do you make sure recurring tasks actually get done?

Please roast the idea if it's dumb. I'd rather hear it now than after 3 months of building.

I'm building a product for business owners and would love your feedback.

hey,

If you run a shop, clinic, salon, restaurant, gym, pharmacy, or any small business, I'd love to understand how you manage recurring staff tasks.

Examples:
• Opening and closing checklists
• Cleaning tasks
• Stock checks
• Customer follow-ups
• Equipment maintenance
• Daily reports
• Cash reconciliation
• Appointment confirmations

The idea is simple:

• Owners create recurring tasks/SOPs.
• Staff automatically receive them daily, weekly, or monthly.
• Staff submit proof of completion (photos, notes, videos, checklists).
• Owners can see what was completed, missed, or delayed.

A few questions:

  1. How do you currently ensure staff complete recurring tasks?
  2. Do you use WhatsApp, paper checklists, Excel, or any software?
  3. What is the biggest challenge in managing daily operations?
  4. Have you ever faced issues because a recurring task was missed?
  5. Would you use a simple tool to track and verify these tasks?

Also, if you're already using a software for this, please let me know which one.

Happy to jump on a quick 10-minute call with anyone willing to share their experience

Any hacker houses or startup houses in Bangalore?

I’m a college student, and my lease in JP Nagar is ending soon. I’ve been thinking about moving somewhere that has a stronger builder/startup culture.

Maybe I’m staying in the wrong part of Bangalore, but I honestly don’t see much of a tech scene around me. Most people I meet are nice, but it’s hard to find people who are seriously building products, startups, open-source projects, or experimenting with new ideas.

I’m looking for an environment where people are building, shipping, discussing ideas late at night, and generally pushing each other to do more.

Are there any long-term hacker houses, startup houses, founder communities, or builder-heavy co-living spaces in Bangalore?

Would love to hear recommendations or experiences from people who’ve lived in one.

Built MeetHalfway – Find a place that’s actually fair for both people

I got tired of the usual conversation:

“You come here.”

“No, you come here.”

So I spent a weekend building MeetHalfway.

You drop two locations and it finds places roughly in the middle for both of you.

It isn’t limited to cafés anymore. You can discover:

☕ Cafés

🍽️ Restaurants

🎬 Movie theatres

🛍️ Malls

🌳 Parks

💪 Gyms

and more

Recent updates:

Added multiple place categories

Supports more than 2 people

You can manually add a custom location for the other person instead of relying only on search

I built it because coordinating meetups in Bangalore is surprisingly painful when everyone lives in a different area.

Would love feedback from other builders:

What would make this genuinely useful?

Any feature you’d add before sharing it with more people?

Try it now

Built a simple tool to solve the “Where should we meet?” problem

Every meetup starts with the same conversation:

“You come to Indiranagar.”

“No, let’s do Koramangala.”

“Too far.”

So I built a MeetHalfway that makes the decision easier.

Share a link with a friend

Drop two locations

Instantly discover cafés, restaurants, movie theatres, parks, malls, gyms, and more around a fair halfway point

The goal is to spend less time negotiating the location and more time actually meeting.

It’s still an MVP, so I’d love honest feedback:

Would you use this?

What categories or features are missing?

Any UX improvements or bugs you notice?

Built a website to end the “Where should we meet?” debate in Bangalore

One of the most common conversations with friends is:

“Let’s meet somewhere in the middle.”

But then nobody knows where “the middle” actually is.

So I built MeetHalfway that helps two people find a halfway point and suggests places around it.

You enter two locations, and it shows:

☕ Cafés
🍽️ Restaurants
💪 Gyms
🌳 Parks
🛍️ Malls

and other nearby places around the halfway point

The idea is to make planning meetups a little less painful, especially in Bangalore where distance and traffic are always a factor.

It’s still an early version, so I’d love some honest feedback:

Would you actually use this?

Any features you’d like to see?

Any bugs or UX issues you notice?

Built this as a fun side project and looking for suggestions from the Bangalore community.

How the gym is slowly taking over my life

I’m currently an intern, and lately I’ve realized that my relationship with the gym is becoming unhealthy.

I go to the gym 6/7 days a week, and every day I wake up thinking about which exercise I’m going to push to 100% failure. I end up spending 2–3 hours there, and it’s taking a huge chunk out of my day.

The biggest issue is that I can’t focus on work unless I’ve already been to the gym. If I miss a workout, I feel restless, unmotivated, and like my whole day is off. After I finish training, I finally feel calm and can concentrate.

I genuinely respect the gym because it has given me great gains, better health, and more confidence. I don’t want to quit lifting at all.

But I also don’t want to spend this much time and mental energy around it. It feels like my schedule, mood, and productivity are all controlled by whether I’ve trained or not.

Has anyone else gone through this? How did you find a healthier balance while still making progress in the gym?
