How do you play Malthael?

Cause he feels so weird for me. It either feels like i don't heal enough at 1v1 ones, nor can i survive a team fight. I thougth that he might be just a niech anti-tank, but suprise suprise that doesn't work for me either. I can't outrade anyone for some reason.

Mind you i consider myself utterly terrible.

I don't think i know how to live.

Cause when i finaly have the energy, motivation and time to actualy work on myself i get stunted by the question "okay but how". Cause yeah, i'm getting more consistant on excircises and writting, but this doesn't actualy moves me anywhere from where i am currently. Which is the stereotipical NEET (in my preception atleast)
I presume it is a difficult thing, but does someone has any form of advice to make something of yourself?

Is Hundreds just a less risky Eyrie?

For the record i'm not playing much of either and i am willing to be proven wrong. It's just i'm looking at them and both are realy simmilar. They are both expansive/agresive millitant factions, with pottential for big forward momentum.

However as i was thinking about it, an avrage Rats have a bigger action economy than Eyrie. I was thinking on what was the Eyrie actualy better at, and i could only think of slightly better card economy, and a bit more stable pointing engine. Their recrecuitment ain't better not even with Charismatic leader, cause than you threaten to turmoil. Thats another thing, Eyrie's whole action economy can just reset whil the Rats doesn't, and they can also loose points.

I have issues playing with millitant factions

For context, our table have the problem that none of our players try to activly sabotadge eachother. Most of our games come down to a point race. And since i play lizzards there is not much i could do about this.

So i took it upon myself to learn a millitant faction, the issue is i'm not realy good at taking risks. This makes my offense and expension, awkward and slow. For the record i've been trying Eyrie and Dutchy, i don't have Hundreds.

The inner conflict of Ionia is not fairly represented.

One of the main plot hooks of Ionia is the inside strugle of pacifistic tradition, against renewed initiative. This conflict bearly exists. Yes we have the kinkou and the shadow order, but the only tradionalist by name, is Shen.

Everyone else either despised the old peac, or decided to leav it behind. Even Karma said that this doesn't work.

Vagabond is just unfun to play against.

Atleast for us. I saw what should be the basic behaviour against one and honestly that feels jarring and borderline toxic.
One way is to gate keep items. Like hammers and tea. Sure but now you have dead cards in hand and they'll just craft it themself or gear up from the ruins. Then policing them, in late game you either sacrifice your whole turn so they can't have a turn too or everyone agrees to hit them. Also the best way to counter them is to hit them from the start, which is just toxic. Because you attack someone for existing, and that is not fun for anyone.

I tried to make home rules for them, but it feels like they are in need of an entire overhaul. Can anyone help?

Is this okay for a 5 man set up?

My group is preaty attached to their factions but when we play it feels like we have something off. These are the factions by players:
-Eyrie/Marqius
-WA/Corvid
-Duchy
-River Folk
-Lizzards(me)

I'm not that attached to the lizzards so i could switch from them to make the table more ballanced and fun. I don't know if that is needed.

Does anyone has home rules for this?

I know why they are in the box, and how they have no official use. So i decided to make something up, and got curious if someone allready did.

He has no damag, because he suposed to roam and gank i supose. But his ganks are preaty weak for me. You run at the enemy, then grab them with the relativly short ranged 20 sec stun, and pulle them. If your team doesn't kill them in that time, thats it. That is you land your drag.

Idon't get it. Is he just this outdated, or so suboptimal to quickplay?
