Need advice on career in education

I’m 22F, recently completed MA (History) from DU (family settled in Ahmedabad) and cleared ugc net assistant professor. I haven’t done any researches or conferences in past.
I am planning to get a job in private university. If anyone here’s an assistant professor, could you please guide me how to move forward!

TIA

Guidance required

I have been doing PYQs and am scoring decent ish (above 100) for each year from 2014-2024, gave 2025 paper 3 times at home and once in exam hall but I tend to make similar mistakes even after revising and understanding the concepts around it (scoring 90). In mocks that I attempt I score around 100.

Now to the main question:

I attempt only 70-75 questions and my mentors have been pushing me to solve atleast 80-85 but the more I attempt more likely I’m to making mistakes. Also I do a single iteration for which I’ve been warned time and again but further iterations only make me overthink (happened in exam hall during CSP25). Am I making a mistake not listening to the mentors? Is there any time left to salvage things?
P.s. out of 75 I know atleast a 40 questions for sure and also for the 50-50 questions my first instinct has proven me wrong 80% of the times.

(I missed last year’s(1st attempt) cutoff by 1.5 marks approx)

Any guidance would be appreciated!
TIA🙏🏻
