Does the blinking method actually work

Now I’ve been a glasses wearer for about 5 years now and I’m thinking of switching to contacts cause my glasses are just starting to piss me off

Went yesterday to speak to my optometrist about talked about starting out on monthlies and after trying them on and telling me all the do’s and do nots, at the end of the appointment (as I’m sure you all know) you’re required to successfully take them on and off 3 times before you can go home with them

I spent about 45 mins to an hour listening to the specialist on how to take them off and it just wasn’t working, mainly because of the fear of touching my eye etc

So after getting home, I googled methods on how to take them out and I seen the blinking method which doesn’t require any pinching or relative touching of the eye

I tried looking online to see if it’s safe for the contact (if it damages it over time) and all the websites I went on to were telling me it was safe and didn’t harm them but I was only half convinced so I decided to turned to people who will actually know from experience

Is it actually a safe method, not damaging the contact over time? and is there anyone here who does it routinely that can confirm it is a good method?

Edit: For anyone who doesn’t know, this is the blinking method:

Step 1: Using your thumb and index, gently pull your upper eyelid up and your lower eyelid down.
Step 2: Turn your gaze to the far side. (as far as you can)
Step 3: Relax and blink gently. This will help nudge the lens out of your eye.

Is this normal for girls to do?

I myself, am a teenager so I don’t know if this is just common or not so that’s why I’m asking here

So on Snapchat, over a few different times, random girls have started snapping me and then after about a month or so of snapping back and forth, I look at the chats and see that they never open my snaps, they just see that I’ve sent and snap back

So I have two things to ask: why do girls just start randomly snapping a guy wether they do or don’t know them and why is it that they don’t open the persons snaps and just snap back

Edit: so essentially, these girls are only snapping mf so they can keep/maintain their snap streaks/score, so they can go fuck themselves, thank you all for the info 🙏

I built a real life ship wheel controller!

I spent the last few weeks developing this prototype to play SoT with a real wheel. This early code and set up actually ended up working really well so I wanted to share. I’m also thinking about making a video documenting my process as well as making a kick starter to try and develop this into an easy diy build where everything can be bought/3d-printed. Any interest?

Update: I’ve gotten it to be more accurate and have been sailing around for the last half hour

Update 2: wow a lot of people really loved this. I will definitely work on a video and kickstarter!
