Just got killed by a squad popping uav’s every 30 seconds! Update done shit

I’m 33M and my fiancée is 29F. We’re thinking seriously about starting a family soon and I wanted some honest perspective from people older than us.
We currently have around $50k saved between investments and high-yield savings ( no debt) We’re not wealthy, but we’re also not struggling. I’m a freelancer, so my income varies a lot month to month, while she’s a nutritionist with a more stable income.
We’re also moving to Norway soon since she’s Norwegian, and from what we’ve seen, the cost and support systems for raising children seem much better and cheaper there than in the US.
For those who already went through this stage of life:
Did you ever truly feel financially “ready” for kids?
And based on your experience, does our situation sound responsible enough to start thinking about having a baby now?
We both have amazing families on both sides! My dad is well off and her family in a way too. But I don’t want to rely on my family for financial help.
