Tretinoin and face drops

Tretinoin and face drops

Hi! I’m new to self tanning and want to try out the Coco&Eve face drops since my face is now much paler than my body however, I am a nightly tretinoin user. Is it even possible to self tan my face if I use tret? Does anyone have luck with another type of face tanner or should I use bronzing drops in my makeup instead? Thanks so much!

Eyebrow product help!

I have pretty thick natural brows but I have a few bald spots and the front parts are super sparse, particularly on the right side where the hairs also grow upwards for some reason?? I can’t find any brow products that looks natural, hold my brows in place, and fills in the sparse areas.

Currently I use the Benefit precisely my brow and the benefit clear gel. Both are ok products but there must be something better out there!! Thanks so much <3

Skin tint brush recs pls!

Hi! I currently use the Tower 28 tint and love it. I blend it out with my fingers and find that it gives a nice even finish that way but it’s a sensory nightmare for me. I HATE the way the residue feels on my fingers and I have to wash my hands two-three times to feel like it’s completely gone in the middle of my makeup routine which is really annoying.

Are there any brushes that you recommend for skin tints? Something that mimics fingertip application?

Has anyone tried this D&G palette?

Obvs the packaging is absolutely gorgeous and made me immediately drawn to it but I also love the colors, they’re definitely something I would reach for. But still the colors aren’t technically anything special and that price point is crazy, most of the reviews are incentivized. Has anyone tried this? Thoughts??

Best brush for cream/stick eyeshadow?

I’m starting to get into using cream and stick eyeshadow but I have no idea how to blend them. For context I basically only use one color on the lid and would like to diffuse the edges up and out for a lifted look. I also take my pencil eyeliner and smudge it a bit with a small pencil brush. The problem is that the brushes I currently have make it look super patchy. I’m looking into better quality brushes to see if it makes a difference so here are my options at the moment.

- Patrick Ta dual ended eyeshadow brush
- Merit brush No.2
- Sephora pro crease #19
- MAC #217
- Makeup by Mario EF1

Help me pick!!

Merit vs Natasha concealer review (on dry skin)

I’ve been trying just about every concealer on the market to find the right one for me. I have very dry undereyes and my skin is super thin from tretinoin use. I have some shadow/dark circles, not the worst ever but still something i like to cover up a bit. Im someone who wears very minimalist every day makeup so I typically never wear foundation which means I needed to find a concealer that looks good by itself.

My requirements: a good shade match, doesn’t make my eyes look dry, wears well all day, can cover blemishes, and looks like “my skin but better” without looking heavy without foundation.
I tried NARS, Hourglass, Haus Labs, Kosas, Tower 28, Merit, and Natasha Denona. The last two were the only ones that came closest to all my requirements.

Photo with no makeup was taken no more than 10 minutes before the after photo in indirect natural light. I prepped my skin as usual for both eyes. Blending techniques were different due to the different consistencies/formulas after trial and error for both. Concealers were set the same using Charlotte Tilbury pressed powder with a precision powder brush

Natasha Denona Hy-Glam Serum Concealer (Shade N4)

This is a beautiful concealer. I really love the airbrushed effect but I feel for my purposes, it’s a little too “flawless” to wear by itself although it looks nice on its own regardless. It’s very liquidy so it blends easily but also means it settles into fine lines a little bit. It’s not really hydrating but it’s definitely not dry. After playing with it for a while I found that the best method of application is to use literally the tiniest dab and quickly blend with a dense brush, I used the Morphe M132 brush. I set it with a very light dust of powder. I found if you use even the slightest bit too much it looks super cakey and dry, a little goes a long way! This wore really nicely all day and never felt dry or separated weirdly.

Merit Minimalist Complexion Stick (Shade Bone)

If you’re looking for “my skin but better” Merit is that girl. I love how creamy it is and it’s very easy to blend. I don’t love the limited shade range, Bone was as close as I could get to my color and it’s still a tad bit off. This glides on my skin like butter and gives a beautiful radiant finish without looking oily. I found the best way to apply is swiping a thin layer, blending with my finger, and repeat with another layer for medium coverage. It is *super* light coverage but it’s easy to build up. I tried blending with a brush and didn’t like the finish. I also lightly set with the CT powder as I did with the ND. It didn’t budge through whole a work day and a GNO looking radiant and bright as ever.

Anyway those are my (long) thoughts :) Also curious to know which looks better on me!

Product recommendations to achieve this?

Hi! I’m just getting back into makeup as an adult (27f) and I’ve found that I gravitate towards looks like this that I save on Pinterest. Problem is, I have no idea how to properly recreate them. I have looked at a ton of tutorials but the inconsistency of application methods and types of products used is really overwhelming.

So what do you suggest I use? I’ve tried powder eyeshadow but it comes out patchy and rubs off easily. Every eyeliner I use in my waterline disappears after a few hours. I’m not familiar with cream or liquid products, would that be a better choice? What are the best ones to try?

Hi! I’m looking into these two shades but I haven’t been able to swatch them. I want to compare the two. I’m light-medium neutral warm if that helps :) TIA!
