is this worth an RMA? 6650xt

I have a 6650xt SWFT210 from XFX, its a little over 2 years old now, and on default settings my hot spot is spiking up to 109c in elden ring and 105c in SH2 remake, with the edge temp sitting around 75c-85c. Now I know I can just open it up and repaste it, but since it's still in warranty wouldn't it make sense to just RMA it and not risk it making any mistakes? For the record I'm in the US if that matters, since I've seen post of people from other countries who've said the RMA process was dreadful.

Also for the record I normally play with an undervolt/fan curve anyway, but I'm wondering if I would be able to get even better temps if I were to RMA it. If I should then I'm curious to hear what peoples experiences with XFX are/if it's worth it.

Is it possible to request a higher amount for a partial refund?

Got an item recently, it was around $30, only problem is that the item came defective so the past few days I was talking to various shop representatives about what to do. The first one helped me file a return/refund dispute and I did as that, they told me themselves the item was defective and said that I can file the dispute without any intent to send the package out and still get a refund (I made sure to include a screenshot of this message in the dispute itself). A day later I received a notification about an offer for a partial refund, I would have accepted it (since sending the whole item back is much more of a hassle due to where I live) but it was only $5. I opened another support chat and stated I'd be willing to accept the partial refund if they gave me something a bit more (like $10-$15), and the agent told me it was no problem and that I just need to wait 24-48 hours for one of their other teams to send me a new quote.

FINALLY 24-48 hours later and I still haven't received the quote, so I open up yet another support chat asking about it and the representative told me no such thing is possible, that the $5 offer is the best I'm going to get. I asked if I could cancel and restart the dispute if I'd be able to get a new offer and they (kinda frantically in tone) told that would be a bad idea because you never know what the site will do and that I should accept the partial refund right now or else it will soon expire?!?!?!

I immediately closed the chat and am coming here now because I feel like I've been told three different things by three different people, and that last guy REALLY felt off with how he was messaging, so I want to know what the experiences of returns/refunds are with people who use the site more. Should I just accept the $5 and move on?? I read somewhere about aliexpress getting involved themselves depending on the claims/type of refund? any insight is helpful, thanks.

Ram is comparatively the exact same price today as it was in 1996

I just had the realization that comparatively to 1996, ram is the exact same price today as it was back then. Today the average PC or laptop uses between 8gb and 32gb of ram. Back in 1996 the average PC and laptop used between 8mb and 32mb of ram.

To further this back in 1996 you were paying between roughly $10 and $20 per mb of ram. I don't know about high-end kits, but I know for certain that we've just crossed $10 per gb on 8gb and 16gb kits. A 16mb kit of ram back in 1996 costed around $150, the 16gb kit of ram that I bought around 2 years ago for $38 now costs $170.

In this current moment in time, in terms of ram pricing (and probably some other things too), history is perfectly mirroring itself as it was 40 years ago. And while I'm sure that's on purpose as part of some feudal tech overlord dweebs dream-plan, I honestly just think it's neat. (also mildly frightening)

EDIT: I'm not talking literally in relation to exact dollar amounts accounting for inflation and the buying power of the USD, while that is an interesting conversation to have in and of itself, I'm referencing the value as it's face number because it's interesting to see how history has repeated itself in this specific way.
