Feeling the bias toward power pitching

I am now playing in 70s Ego, around 73-75.

Here my pitching is constantly getting punished. It seems like the CPU can basically zero in on exact pitching spots with power swing level in the 90's regardless of where the pitch lands. This has resulted in lots of high scoring games and a lot of fatigue.

One thing I noticed is that as soon as I utilize power pitching, the CPU have no clue how to deal with it. It doesn't matter how accurate the pitches are, good, decent, wild, they keep fouling and striking out. I could be throwing a change up on wild pitch straight down the plate and the batters have harder time dealing with it than a 100mph fastball in the corner of the plate.

This makes it feel like the game forces me to use power pitching, not by directing me to mastering the power pitching but simply by making the batters dumber against power pitches. Is this how the game was designed or is it just me?

Kinda losing interest at this point. Anything below 70 I would be crushing too badly. Anything above 70 becomes a crazy scoring fest where I am constantly giving up 10 runs.

Finding Thermositor on a TCON Board

Dear all,

My Samsung 49" monitor (LS49FG910ENXZA) is not projecting anything on display although it powers on and is recognized by my PC (upon connecting, secondary monitor flickers etc).

I found on reddit that removing thermositor on the TCON board may rescue this behavior.

Unfortunately my monitor is a newer model than the monitor being discussed in those posts. The TCON boards in the two models are different. My board is 5549M01C05

In the previous model, the thermositor was labeled THA1, which I do not see on my board.

Would any one be able to identify what it would be labeled or guide me toward how to find it?

How many slides for a 30-40min presentation

I am preparing for my preliminary exam that is happening next week.

Computational Biology in the US

The presentation is expected to last 30-35 minutes, 40minute caps.

I thought I would need 25-ish slides to fill the time and developed the outline to match that.

But after speaking with my advisor on all the things that need to go in it (a typical intro, three aims, conclusion/future directions style), I am already looking at 22 slides by Aim2 overview.

This is probably going to be a 40 pages slide deck... Is this too many?

I am read that spending 1-2 minutes per slide is ideal.

Any guidance will be appreciated.

Just ordered 9070XT

Newegg doorbuster had GIGABYTE Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB for $599 which is better than any deal i have seen in a while.

Was able to score.

keep an eye out for the newegg doorbusters if you are thinking of upgrading in the next month or so.

Their trade-in is eligible with the doorbuster deal as well. Currently I am set to trade-in my 6800XT for $270. debating whether to do this or just sell it in aftermarket

To keep or not to keep (9070 non-xt)

Recently scored a deal on PowerColor Reaper Radeon RX 9070 for around $550 after tax. I would be moving on from 6800XT and considering getting a 4K monitor for both work and gaming.

Now that the GPU is delivered, I am getting a buyers remorse.. Feel like I could just continue using 6800XT with the existing 34" WQHD + 27" QHD setup and save on the GPU cost as well as the 4K monitor cost (~$700).

Selling the 6800XT will give me around $250 which will help but still. Should I save money 😞 new baby on board and diapers are expensive

Cannot cancel Samsung order?

I just ordered one of their new release 4K monitors (G80SH).

Two days later saw that the discount had been made deeper.

And they do not price match for additional discount. only if the actual item price drops.

Okay, I will cancel and re-order.

Go to my order page (which apparently has been re-done?) and there is no cancellation button.

Reach out to customer support by phone, was told he cancelled it. 5 hours later the order status has not changed on the website. Talked with customer support again, was told they are unable to cancel it because of the internal system issue or whatever, and that it had been elevated and I will get a resolution in 24 hours via email.

24 hours later I get an email they were not able to resolve the issue and that i would be hearing back from the team again after 2-3 business days.

Now the monitor has not yet shipped, but it is expected to be delivered by June 9, meaning it will probably be shipping out in 3-4 days. So now I am getting worried that the product will ship and that I will have to go through the return process which hopefully will not incur me any re-stocking fees. Also I have to just wait until that clears so I can place a new order, which by the time the discounts may change.

Sorry for the rant. just annoyed and bewildered that I cannot cancel an order that has not even shipped yet

Is the G80SH good deal?

Yall, I am in need of buying a new monitor after my 49" DQHD died last week.

The new samsung release G80SH looks nice. I have never had an OLED or 4K, but i hear good things about them for both work and gaming. I mostly play static games like simulation, strategy. no FPS really, some action games. For productivity I read a lot, coding, etc.

I can get this monitor for upfront cost of around $800, and considering other promotions that are running, the final effective cost may be as low as $450-500 ish. I feel like this is a great deal but see no one talking about this monitor so I am little cautious. any ideas?
