Linux mint xfce stuck on flashing underscore screen after GRUB

my last laptop died out of nowhere and Linux was working fine there, but when I took the SSD and put it in a different computer, the GRUB menu appears and when I select linux mint, just a blinking underscore _ appears and the screen stays stuck there. Same thing happens when I try the recovery mode. And also, when I replace quiet slash with nomodeset. What can I do I have a lot of data on that SSD. please help.

How to increase sitting hours??

I currently get tired and saturated by 2hrs, then take a big break and then the study blocks just get shorter and shorter one after the other.

Help

So, I joined Prayas 1.0 - made massive backlogs. Now Prayas 2.0 is also available, but now 1.0 ka crazy FOMO is happening jis wajah se na 1.0 dhang se horha hai na 2.0. Pls suggest if I should try to cover 1.0 backlogs or shift to 2.0 (I have around 2 chapters backlog in each subject)

How to keep my Holden Captiva running longer

Hello everyone

I have a 2010 Holden Captiva CG. It has just gone over 170,000kms. A years ago I had the transmission replaced and that has been fine since then. The suspension has also been redone. The engine is not showing any big problems right now. The only thing in the cooling system that needs to be fixed is the radiator fan. Apart from that everything seems to be in shape.

My question is what can I do to make sure this car lasts for another six years or so. I want to be able to drive it for 300kms without thinking about what might go wrong next.

I know the Holden Captiva does not have the reputation and many people would probably tell me to sell it.. I really like this car. I want to keep it on the road for as long as I can.

Has anyone been able to keep one of these cars running well for a time? I would like to hear any tips on how to take care of it what problems to watch out for or any advice, from people who have had a Holden Captiva for a time.

I am looking for any help I can get to keep my Holden Captiva running well.
