Our neighbor puts trash bags on our packages to keep them dry

Multiple times we’ve come home and our neighbor has put trash bags covering our packages so they aren’t too wet. We always say hi when we see each other, but we don’t know him well. It’s so sweet.

We said yes!

I chose my dress at my very first & only appointment. I had picked it out online before I got there. Couldn’t imagine having chosen something else, it was just perfect! 🤩

Trailering out to a medical center

Hi! I’m curious to hear from those of you who have sent your horse for in depth testing. Did you have an issue the traditional vets just couldn’t figure out? How did your experience go trailering your horse out for testing? Any information on cost would be greatly appreciated too.

Came to the barn to find this: update

Turns out Woody learned he can put his head through the stall door & knock it off the hinges. Therefore the pentagram was necessary 😅

Moving from stall to field board

I’m considering moving my horse to field board. Ever since I’ve had him (3 years) he has been stalled during the day, out at night or vice versa in the winter.

Recently he has been showing some signs of boredom being stalled. Additionally, he’s been dealing with some lameness and being able to move could be good for him. But I’m nervous to give the stall up honestly. He does seem to enjoy it at times and it’s nice for him to be able to eat while I groom him. I also think he appreciates his own space.

I’d love to hear from you all who have made the transition for your horse.

Frolicking ✨

Bringing this back because it brings me joy

Edit: very glad it brings you all joy too. My horse is the grey & he’s lame right now, so this was better times.

WWYD? MIL edition

I’m planning to get ready in a cabin with 3 friends & my mom (no bridal party).

Fiancés parents are divorced & aren’t the biggest fans of each other. MIL asked to get ready at cabin with us.

Step MIL has been highly involved in wedding planning & MIL has not. Therefore, it wouldn’t be fair to invite only MIL to get ready with me & not step MIL too. In my opinion.

I don’t really want tension, though. They can coexist but there’s definitely some backhanded comments, etc.

Should I invite both of them…or neither? Alternative is both MIL + step MIL help fiancé get ready. Either way, they’d have to coexist. Just depends if I feel like being a part of it, and I’m not sure.

WWYD?

Edit for context: my mom has already invited MIL to get ready with us without asking me. So she would need to be disinvited.

UPDATE: MIL will be getting ready with groom, SMIL will be getting ready with me.

Well…

Update on this post - for those wondering

The vet thinks it could be neurological. He noted that this lameness has been intermittent for 2-3 years with no apparent cause. We are running some tests on vitamin levels & PSSM1 specifically. I don’t really know what I’m expecting but I’m hoping for the best. Please keep us in your thoughts 😔

Once tests come back, we will see where we are. Just scratching things off the list at this point.

He’s a 6 y/o draft cross. Purchased from a sale barn, true breeding unknown.

Appreciate all the support I received on the first post!

Lame

Vet has been contacted but wanted initial impressions on this lameness.

I’m thinking left hind…higher up, possibly hip? 😬
