I have a hypertrophic scar on my earlobe after stitches broke and the wound opened. My doctor said its not a keloid and it's healing well. Its 5-6 months old and it doesnt grow.

I got a steroid injection 9 days ago (unfortunatelly I dont remember which one specifically). She said the scar should soften after 1 injection and that CO2 fractual laser treatment isnt necesarry.

A question to people that got a steroid injections - does it actually work? How much did your scars soften after just 1 injection. Does it grow again if I won't continue the steroid treatment?

I don't want my skin to thin so countless amount of injections is not an option for me, would fractual laser be more permanent and less invasive?

Does anyone have any experience with lobes scalpelling? Because my lobes were previously reconstructed this is the best option for me to have stretched lobes again. A great bodymod artist will perform it on me.

My lobes will be cut and sutured, after a few weeks I can start wearing jewelery. The initial size would be 6-8mm

Does anyone stretched their lobes this way or knows anything about it?

I am afraid that they will stretch uncontrollably or wont ever stop stretching after reaching my goal size.

Does any of you have any experience with stretching or scalpelling reconstructed lobes? Does it look natural?

I already had a consultation with Samppa von cyborg to perform it on my lobes. The procedure sounds promising but I still have a lot of doubts. What if it looks worse?

Did anyone with very thin lobes managed to stretch their lobes? I had 18mm holes in both ears and stitched them up entirely. Side of both lobes is thick like my natural ear but skin in the middle is quite thin - there will be a hole anyways so I am wondering if it affects stretching? Does it make it easier to stretch?
