This is a original Vanmoof Düsenjäger, another bike out of my small Vanmoof bike collection.
The bike was released in 2011 and is based on the 28" frame of the Vanmoof No.5. The Düsenjäger a modified limited edition of the No.5 and was limited to 300 bikes produced. The difference to the No.5 is not just the red powder coated Sturmey Arche hubs and rims, it's also got frame color matching fenders from the company Curana, the frame is coated in a beautiful silver witch is not just a paint, it's bare anodized aluminum. The rear hub is a 2speed kickshift with rear coaster, and the integrated chain lock is a cooperation between Vanmoof and Abus based on the Abus Granit CityChain X Plus.
I'm happy to have this bike in it's original condition in my collection and to share this lovely little piece of Vanmoof history with you.

This is the complete renewed X3 for my wife.
The base was an blue X3 from 2021 and the idea was to get it swapped to an X4 as good as it gets. I stripped the bike completely and removed the matrix display and all stickers. Spend a long time figuring out a color that's matching the original X4 purple, and did a new paint job.
Everything is painted outside and with spray cans, so it never gets perfect as from the factory, but I'm pretty happy with the results. The decal is also hand made and color matches the new orange straps at the front basket.
Also the bike got a new socket, new boost and bell buttons, new break discs und pads, new inner tubes and Schwalbe tires, a new chain, a new right break lever and a new e-shifter.
All in all it took about 2 months of work, but the results was worth the effort.

Same workflow here, primer, 1500 grit wet sanding, second layer of primer and again some wet sanding.
Now both frames are ready to get some nice color.

The frame got a first layer of primer, then I wet sanded the whole frame with 1500 grit and give it another layer of primer. The result should be the perfect surface for the base coat.

Just finished the next step for the two new project bike's. It's time to say goodbye to the Matrix Displays. On one hand I will definitely miss those, but it was necessary for the plan made. Both got rid of the stickers and all foils too and get a good wet sand finish. I think the hints are getting clearer now to what should be the result for these two bike's 😉

One of my X3 and one of my S3 got a major problem due to a defective socket, and bin in the basement for a while now. Now it's time to bring those back to life. But not just bringing those back, I want to give it a little bit of a upgrade. So for the first step both bikes got stripped down completely and got a light clean. The next step may give some of you already a hint what will happen to these two beauties. So stay tuned! More to come in the next days and weeks.

It takes me almost three months to finish this project, but it turns out pretty nice e
The bike was completely stripped and got a new paint job in glossy white with a new decal in brushed aluminum dark green.
All components bin cleaned, serviced, painted and polished.
New tires are Schwalbe road cruiser in 28X1.75 with white walls.
Front and rear break caliper are brand new from Dia-Compe.
And for a digital upgrade the cockpit got a Beeline Velo 2.
