F24 first time Morrisons £28.31

Had a discount so splurged a little on things I wouldn’t normally have in my budget like, prawns or namebrand products, should last a good two weeks or more :)

Trying to get my curls back (I’m gaslighting myself )

Half the time I’m not even sure I have curls because my texture changes at will, but first photo (red shirt) is my hair today, no product, just a 10 seconds of rain and a lot of wind. I washed my hair last night but didn’t use any product because I felt lazy, just scrunched and air dried.

Second photo, day 3 hair, earlier in the day my hair was in a braid, and used some curl refresh spray, my hair looked very wavy but no curl definition,

Third photo: freshly air dried hair, had used just curl jelly (scrunched )

My hair is severely bleach damaged (specially my fringe / upper layers), so I’m not sure there is any hope.
Routine:
Hair wash:
Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Hydrate & Repair Conditioner
Garnier Ultimate Blends Honey Treasures Shampoo

+ SHRINE leave in colour gloss (it’s mildly conditioning so acts like a leave in mask, I use it 2 -3 times a month)

Post shower I scrunch in a bit of Umberto Giannini Curl Scrunching Jelly,

If my hair feels extra awful I use
noughty waves thirst aid leave in conditioner
Though this seems to make my hair very stringy and lank.

I’ve started trying Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly refresh spray, but it just makes my hair super crusty.

Im probably using products that are a bit too strong for my wave/curl type, but I’m trying to get as much moisture as possible into my decayed hair because it gets sooo dry and frizzy. I never use any heat because I end up looking like Hagrid, and my hair would probably melt off.

I usually shower in the evening as I don’t have time pre work, and just go to bed when my hair is 80% dry. I am thinking of getting a silk pillow case to help with friction + skin condition.

Pre bleach damage I had very wavy hair, I never really styled it but I had defined waves and some S curls. Regrettably my natural hair colour is vanta black so there isn’t a single clear photo I
could find of it, but curly hair runs in the family.

Experiencing getting adult swim lessons?

So I’m thinking of finally learning how to swim in preparation for when the sea swallows up south England, and because it might help my joint pain that I’m “too young to have” since swimming is therapeutic.

I’ve been looking and I’ve seen classes at virgin active club and David Lloyds
I know the leisure centre is substantially cheaper and has a pool but I don’t know if they’d do one to one lessons for an adult. I am painfully embarrassed about my aquatic inabilities so I’m mostly looking for a tutor to show me how to not drown.

I’m leaning towards virgin active, but if anyone’s had any experience getting swim classes or a recommendation on where to go or what to look for (outside of a life jacket) please let me know :)

Do you hate gourmand scents in summer?

I absolutely adore gourmand scents, yog nog from lush was the best body spray ever, and I have been eyeing up 71 from Sol De Janiero as a go to for my work bag, but looking at this sub I see a lot of people seem to really hate it when people wear very sweet scents in summer?

I personally love it when I walk past someone and she smells like pure vanilla and caramel, but I can also totally get how sweat / BO mixing with a super strong sweet fragrance would smell disgusting. Especially something like Kayali Candy rock sugar, that would genuinely just smell like rotting sweets.

Does everyone hate gourmand in summer? Or is it one of those things where it’s very dependant on your smell sensitivity? like personally I can’t stand tuber-rose / lemon verbena, they just smell like decay to me, but I know a lot of people really like them.

I want to smell good for the summer but I don’t want to do it if it gives other people headaches or nausea because the scent is too cloyingly sweet

The good news is the LLM can finally generate long messages, the bad news is it’s incomprehensible, it’s happening with each message even after rewinding.
