The Cure Has Overtaken Stupid Song And Become The Most Streamed Song Of The Album This Weekend! (Daily Streams Wise)

The Cure was averaging 3.0M daily streams just last weekend. It also averaged 2.7M streamed just yesterday. Stupid Song has been averaging 2.5M daily streams. All of that is amazing of course. But dang. The Cure has such steady momentum despite it being a five minute song and having zero radio play.

I mean, Billboard and a lot of critics were saying that The Cure is one of the best songs released this year and this is basically proving it. In fact, The Cure was super close to resurfacing back in the Top 10 Global Spotify Charts yesterday. I can only imagine how many more numbers it can do when the tour comes.

I wanted to ask you guys. Do you honestly see The Cure becoming a radio single down the road? I know Olivia’s team are still prioritizing Stupid Song, so it will be a while before they push anything else to the radio (EVEN IF THEY ARE PLANNING ON PUSHING FOR ANYMORE RADIO SINGLES AT ALL). And I know The Cure is the second single and a promotional single for this album. But I seriously think if the streaming numbers are this strong, it can probably do well on the radio as well. Five minute songs don’t usually do well on radio. So maybe they could release a Radio Edit for it? Don’t know if that can work, but it is a possibility.

What do you guys think? I thought this would be cool to share with y’all.

Olivia Officially Has A Full 100M Song Spotlight List On Spotify! Also 10/13 Of The Girl So In Love Tracks Have Surpassed 100M Streams!

BONUS: the album itself recently surpassed TWO BILLION streams! This is I think the first female album this year to achieve this. You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love also becomes Olivia’s second fastest album to achieve two billion streams just at 59 days. SOUR is still in first place with around 22 days.

All that’s left are Begged, Purple, and Cigarette Smoke. Begged is at 94M so it should get there hopefully by the end of August. Purple and Cigarette Smoke…we got a lot of work to do. They only now surpassed 75M and they are sadly the least streamed tracks daily currently. I swear those two songs are my strong favorites on the album and they are being slept on so much.

Theory: What If This Upcoming Music Video Could Be The Next Single? The Single That Could Be Pushed For The Tours Of This Era?

And that single is still speculated amongst Maggots For Brains, Honeybee, or Expectations. What do you guys think of theory?
Remember that music video mystery Olivia was spotted filming a week ago? Originally we thought it would related to SpiderMan, but that is now busted. Still not sure if it is to any relation with Daisy Chains, or if it is just a live performance of some sorts. So maybe it could be a new music video to another song on the album. Maybe Olivia and her team are going to be pushing for another Girl So In Love song as a promotional single? Maybe they could push for an upbeat song like Maggots For Brains to hype up Olivia’s tour? Kinda similar to what Sabrina did with pushing House Tour as the final MBF single to hype up Coachella.

Just a theory. Probably a stupid one but I am just so excited to see what this mysterious music video is gonna end up being? What are you guys’ thoughts?

What do you think of the “album artists” and “single artists” terms?

I usually don’t pay attention to stantwt debates but (for some reason) some Olivia and Ariana fans were fighting about the reason of why Olivia had gotten more streams on the release day of her album than Ariana, even if HTIMYLM had more stability in streams than drop dead.

That’s when one of the replies said something like:

“It’s because artists like Billie and Olivia are album artists, people are actually interested on their projects as a whole because they know they’ll find something; meanwhile there are single artists like Sabrina and Ariana, putting more effort on their hits rather than trying to make their projects interesting or polished, that’s why any Ariana album has gotten the stability in streams or critics recognition another projects have like GUTS (Olivia’s weakest project in streams), getting really strong legs throughout the years, even without having a big hit besides vampire.

That’s literally what’s happening right now with girl so in love, as of now it might be the favorite for winning AOTY at the Grammys even without drop dead getting that ‘song of the summer’ status you would have expected from an Olivia lead single, meanwhile HTIMYLM is doing better in streams but petal is being destroyed in critics”

Not trying to shade any artist that, in this scenario, would work as a “single artist” because to me that’s just a way to be an artist and that’s 100% correct, I just found it as an interesting concept because I never thought it like this.

What Tour Traditions Do You Think We Might See On The Unraveled Tour?

Basically the title. Back at the GUTS World Tour, I remember we have these traditions. The Bad Idea Right mute challenge. The All-American B audience screaming moment. The sticker collections. The random fan interactions. And the GUTS Cam.

I wonder what Olivia has up her sleeve for her third tour. I am so excited to see how far her creativity goes. I am predicting another mute challenge. Maybe for My Way? I know the mute challenge is probably dead now, but it would still be cool for Olivia to continue it. Those are always so fun.

I am also picturing another audience participation moment. Maybe during the Expectations bridge, Olivia will go and allow each side of the audience to scream the bridge? Just like she did for Deja Vu during the SOUR tour. That or Stupid Song’s bridge. That would be so cool.

Finally, I am dying to see what the visuals are gonna be like. Olivia said she is super excited for Maggots For Brains on the show? I can only imagine what she is going to do for the choreography and visuals of that banger. Also The Cure? I can honestly picture Olivia unraveling herself with those heartstrings just like in her music video during the bridge.

Oh gosh. I am super excited. Still have to wait until September to see everything unfold, but I am cannot stop thinking about how much we are in for a surprise for this tour. What are you guys thinking?

Congratulations To Maggots For Brains For Becoming The Second Girl So In Love Album Track To Surpass 100M!

Maggots For Brains is such a bop so I am honestly super happy that it is getting so much love! This marks Olivia’s 36th song to do so.

BONUS: Stupid Song also recently surpassed 200M streams last night as well! This marks Olivia’s 30th song to do so.

SECOND BONUS: Wow. I am honestly surprised (and impressed) with how well Drop Dead is doing longevity wise. I still vividly remember how when Drop Dead was first released, the response was pretty lukewarm. Not a lot of people were fond of it. Calling it her weakest and most childish single to date. But it is just the fact that Drop Dead is the first surpass 400M streams and the other two singles still have a halfway point to catch up speaks volumes about how much it has grown on people. It also has a radio play audience of 33M so that is probably helping.

But anyways. Just thought I’d update you guys.

I’m Gonna Throw My Hat In The Ring Here And Say It.

Because I am genuinely scared about saying this in the fan subs of Ariana because I know how brutal some of them can be.

First of all, can someone please tell me why in the world was Hate That I Made You Love Me such a stable smash hit on Global Spotify and Billboard? Like that bland song has never left the Top 5 of Global Spotify and never left the Top 10 of Billboard since its release. My initial thoughts on the song was just feeling underwhelmed. It was just boring. And I do remember the reactions to Hate That I Made You Love Me were pretty mixed too, but all of the sudden now people turned around so quickly and made it such a big hit? When the song just does not sound that great? Idk. Probably being nitpicky here.

But after Hate That I Made You Love Me became such a stable hit, I had pretty high expectations going into this record. The album is not good. I can give props to Ariana for being very experimental in the instrumentals and all. But why did it have to be so eerie/haunting? Especially for the lead single? It felt like such a weird evolution from eternal sunshine and that album was a lot more dreamy sounding imho. The lyrics are extremely clunky, and some of them are just….bad. I don’t even want to get into detail of them. Who let Ariana take complete control of the lyrical pen? Also, has Ariana always hated her fans this much or something? Why the constant fuck you references to the fans? And the fact that she is still bringing up the Ethan Slater drama five years later speaks volumes about her as a person. This album feels like more like a Yes And (album version) if anything.

Finally, Ariana just sounds so monotonous that it makes the whole project sound boring. Ariana, you are literally one of the best vocalist in pop music ever! You literally have a vocal range that makes you special from a major group of people. Why the sudden decline of using the tool that makes you stand out girl? I get it that talk-singing and low register voice may make the songs more comfortable to sing to and deliver the theme you are going for. But overall, you did too much to the point that the whole project just feels undelivered. Me and a lot of your fans can agree that the main thing missing is a classic Ariana Grande addition to a song like a belt, a whistle note, or a yuh. Yet we got none of that? Very disappointing.

Overall, Petals receives a 5/10. It really could’ve been so much better. If the rumors are true and this is supposed to be Ariana’s last album for a while since she will be committed to acting, this makes it even more disappointing. Because you would think for an album to be marketed like that, Ariana would go out with a bang. She would add in all of the features that make her stand out in the pop scenes along with doing something experimental and different for us to admire while she puts her music career on hold. But sadly no. She decided to reheat pretty much all of the Yes And nachos. And do a whole entire experimental project that had lots of potential, but was poorly executed.

So If The SpiderMan Theories Are Busted, What Is This Teased Music Video About? You Guys Have Any Ideas?

Basically the title. I’ve been seeing more and more people saying that after they watched the movie, Olivia’s music has not shown up at all. No new song nor Stupid Song involved. Which is kinda sad, but it’s okay. I am sure she has something else up her sleeve very soon.

But I just wanted to ask. If that teased music video is most likely not involving SpiderMan, then what could it be relating to? Would she be shooting a music video for another song on the album? Maybe for the You Seem Pretty Sad side with Expectations or What’s Wrong With Me. Or maybe it is for another song down the road like that one she and Dan keep teasing that hasn’t made it to the project? Lastly, could it just be a visual and live performance debut for the album’s song in preparations for Daisy Chains?

I’m not sure what is coming next. But I know Olivia still has something up her sleeve. What do you guys think?

Wow! It Appears Stupid Song Is Doing Well On The Radio.

I am not an expert on how radio works, but this is great. Right guys? Other than that, awesomeness to Stupid Song! It is looking like it may become a bigger hit in the future!

How Come This Era’s Music Videos Aren’t Blowing Up As Much?

Basically the title. DON’T TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY GUYS. I AM TRYING TO SPREAD HATE OR ANYTHING.

This album has been doing incredibly well in streaming, the charts, reviews, and cultural impact. Still a frontrunner for AOTY btw. So proud of Olivia for all of her success.

But how come the music videos seem to be underperforming? Like, with how extremely viral The Cure and Stupid Song have been this summer, i kind of was expecting The Cure to be close to around 75M views and Stupid Song already past 25M views right now. Drop Dead has been surprisingly the most consistently viral song on the charts despite having the most lukewarm response, yet it is not already close to 100M views as well?

Girl So In Love’s music videos are kinda behaving like Olivia’s a brand new artist or a completely smaller artist than she is. I don’t know how else to describe. I am just finding the music videos numbers for this era to be CRIMINALLY low for some reason. Especially The Cure since it is literally Olivia’s best music in a while. And Olivia has been infamous for having very underwhelming music videos since SOUR. Idk. It is just these numbers are making Girl So In Love not seem like the cultural smashing success it is everywhere else.

I wanted to ask you guys why is this? Is it just because YouTube views do not contribute to Billboard chart success anymore? So artists have been putting less and less dedication into the quality and quantity of their music videos for an era; plus the fans put most of their commitment into streaming instead? Maybe there is something I’m missing and would love to hear y’all thoughts? And again, 49M views for Drop Dead, 18M for Stupid Song, and 25M views for The Cure is pretty good. But I just feel like for an artist like Olivia and how viral they’ve been this summer (especially in streams), they should be slightly higher. But this is just my observation though. I’m happy regardless.

Anybody Know Why Olivia Is Being So Quiet Lately? Are We Preparing For Something Big Soon?

Basically the title. The album has been out for a month! It has been doing exceptionally well and I am happy for Olivia. She so well deserves all the success she is getting.

But I am just wondering. Why has she just grown radio silent all of the sudden? Like as soon as the album dropped, she just stopped appearing everywhere? Only major news we’ve heard follows.

—Stupid Song finally got pushed to radio and has been a stable Top 10 Global Spotify Hit since its release.

—The Daisy Chains Festivals run announced. Instantly praised and sold out. Tons more people want to attend. That is not happening until later this summer though.

—The official tour for this era has been immediately sold out in minutes! But the tour does not officially start until September.

—Olivia did appear on that interview with Gracie Abrams for her new upcoming album. Then just recently she appeared on that Jeopardy special.

Other than that, Olivia has been completely silent for this album right after it dropped. I just want to ask you guys. Is it normal for artists like Olivia to dial down promotions for a whole month while the album is fresh or no? If yes, then maybe I am overthinking all of this. I am completely unfamiliar with stuff like this and requesting this as a learning experience.

If no, then I don’t know what Olivia and her team are planning. Stupid Song, Drop Dead, and The Cure may be stable Top 15 Spotify hits now, but they are eventually going to decline fast if Olivia does not keep them up in the air soon. Also, Olivia is just now losing her monthly listeners. She went from 71.2M yesterday to 70.9M today.

Maybe Olivia and her team are preparing for something huge to continue this era and they are just being really sneaky about it? Either that, or maybe they are setting us up for the SpiderMan movie. Even though I am having more and more doubts that the SpiderMan involvement is happening since Olivia still has not shown any vindicating hints and she should’ve by now. So maybe something else huge is happening before then? Or maybe we are just letting the album speak for itself until the festivals and tour start? That could be the final scenario. What do you all believe is the case? Would love to learn more.

TL/DR: Ever since the album dropped, Olivia grew silent too. The Daisy Chain festivals are not until later and the tour is still two months away. Spiderman involvement is getting less vindicating. She is starting to decline in monthly listeners; her songs in the Top 15 Spotify charts won’t stay stable for long if she doesn’t keep pushing. Is this normal for an artist to be silent right after an album drop for a while or no? Asking for a learning experience.

Stupid Song & The Cure Have Been Stable In The Top 10 Global Spotify Charts For Three Weeks Now! Impressive!

I’m telling you guys, I don’t think I’ve seen Stupid Song leave the Top 10 Global Spotify Charts since its release! While The Cure and Drop Dead got boosted back up into the Top 15 after the album came out and it’s been stable in the Top 15 ever since! It especially helped Stupid Song when it got pushed to radio (finally)!

They may not be chart topping hits, but it is incredible with how stable they’ve been for a while now. Makes me happy that they are receiving so much love.

Just thought I’d share with y’all.

Expectations Could Be The Next Single Later Down The Road. Agree or Disagree?

Just this week, I saw LiviesHQ post Olivia’s alternate album cover with the tree on Instagram. Their caption was something similar like: “nowadays Olivia’s got expectations. Or we ain’t kissing passive boys this summer”.

Also, whenever I’ve been seeing Olivia and Madonna battling for the number one album spot this week (Congratulations to Madonna for all the success btw! Love Confessions II), I’ve seen a lot of people saying Olivia’s got expectations so of course she is gonna try to keep her number one streak.

Lastly, the more discourse I have seen on social media, the more I noticed that whenever people rank the album’s songs, Expectations is usually in majority of people’s Top 3. Like, I have heard Expectations being mentioned/repeated so many times than the other tracks that I think it is destiny for Expectations to be a single. I really think it could smash since it is being talked about the most. At least that is what is happening in my algorithm. Don’t know if it is the same for y’all’s?

Even though shockingly Expectations is ONE OF the worst performing songs on the album right now (streaming wise), do you guys envision Olivia and her team pushing it as a single down the road? Like pushing Expectations as an official single with a radio push and a music video? Just like they are doing with Stupid Song right now? Or do you think Expectations may just become a non-single cult classic/audience favorite?
