How Confident Are We That Olivia Is Truly Involved With SpiderMan?

Basically the title. It is officially July and I’ve still not heard anything about the SpiderMan soundtrack and if Olivia is involved with it or not. But with how Olivia and Dan have been teasing this unreleased track of theirs, and that little Spiderman on the swing album cover reference, I am like 50% certain Olivia is involved with this. Still unsure and was wondering if you guys have heard anything else?

I mean, it would make sense because Olivia has suspiciously gone quiet promotional wise with Girl So In Love after the first week sales. Maybe they are filming a music video? Preparing for the tour? Or maybe they are wrapping things up and preparing for the big push of the song if this does end up coming true? Idk. Lastly, if Olivia ends up being involved with the SpiderMan movie, do you guys think it’ll be a new song or will it be a song from the Girl So In Love album pushed in there?

Stupid Song has surpassed 100M streams in 2.5 weeks. Her 34th Song to do so.

BONUS ACHIEVEMENTS: Drop Dead has surpassed 300M streams. Her 24th song to do so. The Cure is on its way to become her 29th song to surpass 200M streams. And finally, if Honeybee continues doing as well as it’s doing with this beautiful trend it has, it might become the first official Girl So In Love ALBUM TRACK to surpass 100M streams. With Maggots For Brains might be the second track since I am seeing that song gaining a boost from the Fortnite collab.

I’m so proud of Olivia! She is crushing it with this era!

What Exactly Is The End Goal For Girl So In Love?

Title. Girl So In Love is already doing excellent. Critical acclaimed reviews off the charts. Everybody is loving it! Also quickly became a frontrunner for AOTY in 2026. Two weeks at number one on the albums chart. Already doing better than GUTS commercially and critically (disregarding a Vampire). I am so proud of our girl and how much success and praise she is getting for this era.

But I have been wondering guys. What is the end goal for this project according to Olivia’s team? Drop Dead was the lead single for this album and it has been out for 70 days. It has been doing decently well; it just surpassed 300M streams. Then of course we have The Cure and Stupid Song, which have also been doing incredibly well on the charts and critical reviews. The Cure is even number one of the best songs of 2026 so far.

But it is just the fact that her team still have not pushed Stupid Song and The Cure to the radio yet is really puzzling me. Because now next week’s predictions are showing all of Olivia’s songs dropping out of the Top 10 on Billboard. Stupid Song and Drop Dead are also starting to slip out of the Top 10 on the Global Spotify charts. Obviously it is time to retire Drop Dead and push for Stupid Song more while it still has hype left. But it is the fact that Olivia and her team have done nothing to maintain the hype is really making me confused.

And of course, a lot of people on Stan Twitter are calling this album a flop just by looking at the charts. Completely ignoring the fact that this album is guaranteed a hit and is already doing better than GUTS.

But I do want to ask you guys this. Are Olivia and her team more focused on ensuring that this album is a smash hit as a body of work and a cultural statement? Instead of pushing for one singular song off this record to be the standout hit? And if that is a yes, then would that logic be healthier for Olivia in the long run? Would she benefit more from releasing multi projects that are critically acclaimed worthy body of works rather than having each album with three smashing singles and the rest of tracks are ranked average or higher? Know what I am trying to say?

I just see a lot of people dismissing Olivia’s success because she is not getting the smash hits. Or she is no longer as huge of a chart monster as she once was back during SOUR. For me, I think people still comparing Olivia’s newer projects to SOUR’s numbers are ridiculous. Because SOUR is a once in a cultural phenomenon and career milestone. Even if Olivia creates another era FILLED with global dominating hits again, I highly doubt she is touching her SOUR peak again. And that’s totally fine just as long as Olivia keeps evolving herself and continues making great music, which she is clearly doing right now with Girl So In Love. I believe that as long as her music speaks for itself, then the singular songs not performing as well on the charts is meaningless. I’m probably super wrong on all of this, so someone please teach me if I am.

But yeah. Still have some questions for Olivia’s team about not sending Stupid Song to radio yet. Especially since now Stupid Song is losing a lot of momentum. I really hope they have a good reason for doing this. And yes, this will be the last time I am mentioning this. I know you guys are probably tired of me saying the radio thing lol. But other than that, with how much of a cultural impact this album has made this year without a certain smash standout song, I think Olivia is going to be fine if we end up only having Drop Dead being the radio single. Could this be the end goal Olivia and her team are working towards?

Hopefully I explained this well guys. Again, I am proud of Olivia for all of her success. But I just wanted to start a discussion with you guys and learn more about this. I thought it’d be fun.

TL/DR: Stupid Song and The Cure still have not been pushed to the radio yet. They are already losing lots of momentum on Billboard and Global Spotify Charts. And Olivia and her team have not been doing much to maintain the hype. Would this mean that their end goal is to ensure that this era is a smash hit as a full body of work and a cultural impact instead of by one standout smash song? And would this be a healthier route for Olivia in the long run?

So Did Stupid Song and The Cure Get Sent To The Radio?

I’m just asking for confirmation. Because I did see a post in the main Olivia Rodrigo sub last night. It had the US Radio additions and last I checked, Stupid Song and The Cure were on that list. But I wasn’t sure if it was reliable or not. I wanted to go back to it and ask if it was reliable but then that post quickly got deleted on the main sub. Now I am confused.

I also asked on the main sub and my post got removed instantly with no reasoning whatsoever. So I thought I’d ask here. Just wanting to check and see if you guys heard anything or not.

How Come Olivia’s Team Haven’t Pushed Stupid Song To Radio Yet?

Basically the title. I am genuinely asking. Because Stupid Song is the official third single of the era. It has literally been number one on the Global Spotify Charts for five days now, which is absolutely impressive! Plus it has been the only song in the whole Girl So In Love era currently that has been super stable in streams. It’s been averaging in the 6M daily streams range since its debut while the rest of the tracks have been slowly declining.

Stupid Song is already starting to become a hit (if it continues holding up this good), but I genuinely think Stupid Song could REALLY REALLY take off if it gets sent to radio. Olivia hasn’t had a true radio smash song in a long while and I think Stupid Song could be her grand return to that.

What are they waiting for? I don’t know if they are waiting for something important before doing that. And if they are waiting, I really hope they don’t wait too long. Otherwise the streams are going to eventually decline and Stupid Song will have a huge miss opportunity to become big.

This is probably going to be me coming across as being impatient or demanding, but believe me. I am not. I am just genuinely confused on why they haven’t pushed this to the radio. I really want to learn more. What have you guys heard?

VIDEO FROM SLOAN. More People Are Noticing.

Cannot remember if this was already posted in here or not. But I thought it’d be cool to share. Also, apologies if this is the wrong flair. I’m new to this sub and I am still learning the ropes of how things work around here.

Do You Guys Think We’ll Get More Singles For This Era After The Album Drops?

Basically the title. I have a feeling in my GUTS that if Olivia does release a third lead single right before the album drops, it is not going to be Begged. I am predicting it being a rock song. But I could be wrong. We’ll see.

But I really want to hear the studio version of Begged. And since Begged gained tons of buzz and praise from the SNL debut, I really think Begged could do well as a single too. I’m surprised Olivia hasn’t pushed it yet but maybe she is saving it for later. Which leads to the question. After the album drops and we let it sizzle for a while, do you guys think that Olivia might release any post-album singles this time like Begged? Because honestly, as much as I loved GUTS and how it turned out, I really think there were tons of missed opportunities of some GUTS tracks not becoming post-release singles with music videos like Lacy, All-American B, or The Grudge.

What do you guys think?
