Rodrigo, Dean, Rosalia, RAYE and Phoebe as of now for the AOTY
Actually that’s the order I would put them right now, but a really tight race.
I think Rodrigo will be the clearly frontrunner once her tour starts next month because the narrative will be at her side.
Latin America tour: Arenas or Stadiums?
A few weeks away I thought it was obvious that, on a hypothetical Latin America leg of the tour after the main tour, she would’ve performed on stadiums (the venues she already did on GUTS World Tour, like Estadio GNP in Mexico City, Couto Pereira in Brazil, etc.); but after she already did all these low-attendance exclusive shows even before the main tour (tour that will be held in arenas too), it seems like she would want arenas for the shows in Latin America too.
Arena CDMX/Guadalajara/Monterrey for Mexico in that case?
When will we get the GRAMMYs “for your consideration” poster?
How long it’ll take Javadi to be a Doctor from Season 3?
What do you think of the “album artists” and “single artists” terms?
I usually don’t pay attention to stantwt debates but (for some reason) some Olivia and Ariana fans were fighting about the reason of why Olivia had gotten more streams on the release day of her album than Ariana, even if HTIMYLM had more stability in streams than drop dead.
That’s when one of the replies said something like:
“It’s because artists like Billie and Olivia are album artists, people are actually interested on their projects as a whole because they know they’ll find something; meanwhile there are single artists like Sabrina and Ariana, putting more effort on their hits rather than trying to make their projects interesting or polished, that’s why any Ariana album has gotten the stability in streams or critics recognition another projects have like GUTS (Olivia’s weakest project in streams), getting really strong legs throughout the years, even without having a big hit besides vampire.
That’s literally what’s happening right now with girl so in love, as of now it might be the favorite for winning AOTY at the Grammys even without drop dead getting that ‘song of the summer’ status you would have expected from an Olivia lead single, meanwhile HTIMYLM is doing better in streams but petal is being destroyed in critics”
Not trying to shade any artist that, in this scenario, would work as a “single artist” because to me that’s just a way to be an artist and that’s 100% correct, I just found it as an interesting concept because I never thought it like this.
I know this has been said a lot of times, but god I love how much love and recognition has she received from music legends and icons already
I’m happy to follow the career of a person with a bright present and even brighter future like her, we might have a next legend on her.
Olivia’s performing with The Smashing Pumpkins at Lollapalooza!!
Enough time has passed: is stupid song the best bridge of her career?
This subreddit (and fandom) is on this phase currently, right?
I’ve checked on this sub practically daily for the last 2 weeks approx. and it’s always the same pattern:
- “What’s the most underrated song on ___?” post
- Question about the version of a vinyl (valid tbf)
- Someone sharing their top from one of the albums
I mean what else could this subreddit talk about, but I just find it funny when a fandom just don’t have new things at all lol
Which guitar build-up song do you prefer: the cure or cigarette smoke?
They have different ways to end (drums explosion on the cure, and that unusual but amazing synth sound on cs), but they practically build themselves the same throughout the whole song, so, which one do you prefer?
Personally, cigarette smoke, I think it explodes that build-up in a more natural and powerful way
We’re officially on Spider-Man Brand New Day week btw
stupid song might be turning into the biggest candidate for best pop solo performance over drop dead
Olivia might be filming a new music video
What song would you like for Olivia to make a video?
What’s that one Grammy snub, that you think more people should talk about it?
Everyone knows the popular snubs (TPAB not winning AOTY, After Hours, practically Ariana’s entire discography lol), but do you have any that you thought it was very unfair, but not a lot of people talked about it or protested?
For me it’s Charm by Clairo, not just not winning the Alternative Album award (she was nominated), but not getting an AOTY nomination or even win it, it’s one of the greatest albums of the decade so far in my opinion.
Even the red swimsuit can be a hint if you’re delusional enough
I love how she improved the quality of the music videos for this era
One of the only things I genuinely didn't like about GUTS were the music videos, I think vampire and maybe obsessed were very original but I never connected with the other ones (ironically I think CCMN is her best video but it doesn't count as a GUTS one, despite being released during the GUTS era).
That's why one of the things I anticipated the most from this era were the videos, and they didn't disappoint at all, they might be even better than SOUR.
I think that's another way to represent how she cares and take care that much of all the aspects of her art. Olivia is amazing. Another sensational piece of art with this album we could talk about.
What does this meant after all?
I really never understood it completely, genuine question
