Looking for a phone under ₹25k for college — performance & longevity are priorities

Hey everyone, I’m a 1st-year BTech student looking to buy a new phone with a budget of around ₹25,000.

My main priority is performance and longevity, since I plan to use the phone throughout my 4 years of college rather than upgrading every 1–2 years.

Minimum requirements:

  • Budget: ₹25k max
  • Display: Full HD+ minimum
  • RAM: 6GB minimum
  • Processor: At least better than Dimensity 6300
  • Good battery life
  • Decent software/update support

What I care about most:

  1. Performance — smooth everyday use
  2. Multitasking — switching between multiple apps without lag
  3. Longevity — should still perform well after 3–4 years
  4. Good thermals / sustained performance
  5. Decent software experience

Camera isn't a major priority for me. I mainly want something that will remain fast and reliable throughout college.

Currently considering phones around this price range, but I’m open to anything better.

What would you guys recommend under ₹25k? And which processor/phone would you trust for 4 years of use?

DTU VLSI vs NSUT ECE: Is 2 hours of daily commute worth it?

I'm likely getting DTU VLSI and NSUT ECE.

NSUT ECE is the better branch, but choosing it would mean about 2 extra hours of commuting every day compared to DTU. I'm not fully inclined toward software and am also interested in electronics/core opportunities.

Is the difference between NSUT ECE and DTU VLSI big enough to justify the commute?
