I have watched some Instagram reels. They are saying that a big reshuffle is going to happen in Modi govt. and Dharmendra Pradhan will be removed as Education Minister. Is it true?

​Step 1: Online Application & Registration

First, apply for Decentralized Counseling through the official JU portal. To complete your registration and participate, you must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹500 online.

​Step 2: Merit List & Schedule Release

Once the application window closes, a merit list is prepared strictly based on the ranks of the applicants. JU will release a schedule, calling candidates in batches according to their General Merit Rank (GMR). (Example: Candidates with a GMR up to 3000 might be called on Day 1.)

​Step 3: Arrival & Outside Live Tracking

On your scheduled date, report to the TEQIP building. You don't even have to wait to go inside to check seat availability—there is a live-streaming screen right outside the building displaying the real-time, updated count of vacant seats for every branch and category.

​Step 4: Waiting Room & Pre-Verification Opt-Out

According to your rank, you will be called inside and seated in a waiting room. The live streaming of seat availability continues in this room as well.

​Important Note: If you see on the screen that your preferred branches are already full, you have the option to leave the process early. You can simply fill out an opt-out form while in the waiting room, before your documents are verified.

​Step 5: Document Verification

When your rank is called from the waiting room, you will proceed to the verification desk, where the staff will check and verify all your required original documents.

​Step 6: Final Seat Allotment & Last-Minute Opt-Out

After successful document verification, you will be shifted to the final admission room where the authorities are present. When your exact rank is called, the authority will ask for your choice based on the current live availability.

​Crucial Note: You are not locked in! If you realize at this final stage that you are not getting a preferred branch, you can still choose to walk away and leave the process. If you do find a suitable seat, you can claim it and complete your admission right there.
