i quit my full time job to focus on college

i recently quit my full time job after going back and forth about it for months. the work environment had gotten pretty toxic and my new manager was a huge micromanager, and i was honestly just miserable going to work every day.

at the same time, i’m in college and trying to actually prioritize school and finish my degree. working 40 hours a week while keeping up with my classes was becoming way too much, so i finally decided to leave and focus on college instead.

i felt SO relieved when i first quit, but now that it’s actually done i keep having moments where i’m like… did i really just quit my stable full time job?? 😭 i plan on getting a part time job on campus that allows downtime where i can work on assignments! im thankful for my partner. we’ve had so many discussions about this & he gave me his full support so i can focus on school. im thankful he is taking care of most of our larger expenses. i have enough money saved as well. i graduate in may and plan on finding a job in my field. but part of me is like omg i cant believe i quit a stable job.

i’m curious if anyone else has done something similar. did you quit a full time job or take a big pay cut to focus on school? how did it work out for you? do you feel like it was worth it?

my boyfriend kicked me

title is pretty self explanatory. earlier today, i was laying in bed and my boyfriend was trying to pet my cat and i moved his hand away. he then proceeded to kick me very hard in the leg/thigh and it really hurt. it hurt my feelings even more and im struggling to decipher whether this was abuse or not ? it was weird.idk

things to do in montreal

hi everyone! my boyfriend and i will be traveling to montreal this week we’ll be there for 4 days. what are some recommendations for places to visit?

we both enjoy art, interactive museums, botanical gardens, cute neighborhoods to walk around, markets, and unique experiences. we’re open to pretty much anything—live music, rooftop bars, scenic viewpoints, festivals, vintage shops, speakeasies, parks, or anything that’s unique to montreal.

we’re staying downtown, but we really want to explore the city and experience it like locals do. we’d also love recommendations for restaurants, cafés, bakeries, cocktail bars, and any hidden gems. we’re huge foodies and would rather eat at places locals actually love than tourist spots. if there’s anything that’s a must-see or a must-eat, let me know!

thanks in advance!! x
