Why owners go up in arms when they hear these 2 things ?

I noticed recently that online dog communities go up in arms when they hear 2 things; and I can't understand why.

The first is when someone says: "..I bought my dogs...and their upkeep through the years has cost me more than the dogs..."

The second is: "..I bought my dogs to use as guard dogs...they're a working breed and that's what I expect of them...they got a full time job..".

To me these statements sound perfectly normal; dogs are expensive and no one will give you a pure breed for free.

Guard dogs have been around since the dawn of man; what's the big deal ?

What do you think ?

The Donations Fallacy ◇

I've been playing for 3 seasons and this is my 4th season so far.

At first it seemed counter intuitive to get "weekly FREE crafting plans" by dumping some food & resources into Azimov's crate.

Why painstakingly save crowns or even buy crowns at the shop ??

Have you ever considered why the game offers 13 types of bayonets 😅 ??

Each and every week I've deposited 200K in resources for the past 3 seasons and all I got was trash; and I've yet to recieve a Health crafting plan.

My point is that if you're planning on getting top shelf crafting plans for free; it's gonna be a LONG ass wait.

Remember that resources funnelled into the donations crate are eventually gonna slow down your shelter upgrades.

I bit the bullet and decided to save crowns and buy my own plans; and in fact it has saved me a ton of frustration and they served me well too.

Almost every encounter I'll take with me stuff I crafted from plans I bought - I've hardly ever crafted anything from the donations plans.

Sure, eventually you'll score top shelf crafting plans but in my opinion it's not worth the wait and the weekly 200K resources.

Truth be told; I'll save my crowns and wait for that item to be on sale - the 40% off is a steal.

What's your impression ?

What's the best comeback to a stranger calling someone gay ?

These days I've come across several degenerates calling people "gay" just because they enjoy art, design or a particular type of music etc.

It takes a certain degree of education in order to appreciate some of life's tasteful subjects - including food, wine, holding up an interesting conversation or being knowledgeable on botanics, history, economics etc.

Being fluent within those spheres; doesn't give anyone the right to label you as gay.

So what's the best comeback to such a remark ?

Are dogs meant to be stressful by default ?

Basically I see my dogs as a source of stress, work, more work and an annoying responsibility.

The plan was rather simple; I live on a large property and it seemed a great idea to add dogs on top of it.

A large space surrounded by nature is the perfect environment for dogs; and I wouldn't need to do anything except feed them.

Why ? Bc they LIVE in their habitat surrounded by nature and small prey. No need for exercise or potty breaks or anything; just food and a pat on the brain on my way out and on my way into the property.

Therefore I selected what were labelled as "guard dogs" and "a working breed".

Everywhere I read; it said:

"you just have to bite the bullet for the first year of puppy-hood bc they'll drive you INSANE.".

I figured that's ok; I live alone so it doesn't matter.

Fast forward 4 years from that stupid decision; and if I should get a stroke today; it's most likely due to my dogs.

No one hinted that dogs are insanely needy ( helpless ) and that your biggest PROBLEM on a daily basis is dishing out attention and entertainment.

I'm not a saint; I've been drained dry by my dogs; I can't keep on giving and giving and more giving.

My lower back is begging me to stop from 4 years of PICKING UP anything and everything you can imagine at home - starting with their food bowls and poop.

The dogs got things figured out clearly; I'm their source of attention and food dispenser; and all food is in the kitchen - therefore there's no need to step outside the house.

If attention stops being dished out; revert to peeing indoors - that'll make him lose his shit and we've got a reaction from him so as to acknowledge our presence - if he's stupid enough; he'll go back to potty training and that's a win for us.

Otherwise we can watch him mop our stinky piss and that's entertainment; he's working for us.

All in all, my view of dogs is that I'm looking at hard labour for the next decade; with no chance of getting away from home for more than a few hours.

Basically dogs need a life-less loser that'll forfeit his life so that they can enjoy their's, die and leave him with nothing.

My house is literally a pigstay; I've got no more energy from running around in circles from potty breaks, picking up shit, "accidental piss", dishing out food, giving attention and sweeping the floor from their shedding ( once it becomes visible ).

As harsh as it may sound; I'm gonna have to push them outside so they can live & sleep in a shed - it's way better than a dog shelter.

Are my impressions correct so far ?

Edit: Don't come at me with the training BS ... it's not training if you must go thru it every damn day .. its more like an insane repetitive routine and the minute it stops, dogs will revert to their old ways bc training was a source of attention and food.

Which past trends or fashion items you wish to see again in Italy ?

I remember back in the day when just about any fashionable item was branded and really expensive; and yet those that could afford them; wore them as if they were cheap items for daily use.

Brands like Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Carhartt etc were on top of the list.

Which trends would you like to see again ?

Where's the adult phase in dogs ? I can't see it.

The dumbest idea ever was to get a dog or better yet SEVERAL dogs; after reading all the online BS about dogs in general.

The loyalty, your new buddy, man's best friend, cuddles and pizza etc.

But NO ONE mentioned the back breaking and INSANE routine ( hamster wheel ) you've set yourself into.

At first Google said "...you JUST have to grind your teeth for the first year of puppy-hood and then it's all down hill and you can be the proud owner of man's best friend...".

After a year of basically being a stay-at-home mom for these dogs; nothing changed.

Same work load, running back and forth because THE DOG NEEDS !!! same cleaning, same supervising, same accidents etc. Plus bigger meals.

I Googled again and it said "Oh, shucks, some dogs actually take TWO years to become adults and fully independent...just hold on you're almost there !!!".

Another year goes by and nothing changed so I Googled again and it said "Oh boy, it's a mastiff breed you got !!! Those guys take THREE years before they turn into adults..."

My point it is that after almost 5 years; I'm literally fed dafuq up with my dogs workload, upkeep and the routine is driving me crazy - despite them being full of personality.

My impression about dog owners today; is that they've got to be total losers in life and a dog is all they got going on for them.

Honestly, my life is desperately calling me back and saying to let go of all this madness; dogs are actually pissing you off on a daily basis and you keep kicking yourself to clean & feed those dogs - that's not a healthy lifestyle.

To make matters worse; I spoke to a former dog owner that relocated to Vietnam.

I helped him relocate etc and after 6 months when I called him to see how's he doing; THE FIRST THING he says is "getting rid of my dogs was the best decision I ever made...I suggest you do the same and start living life on a tropical beach...".

My question to dog owners is how do you keep pushing yourself each day with all the dogs needs ?

If you say it's rewarding; I'll automatically assume that you're indeed a loser and a nutter.

How long does it take before a dog owners begins to crumble & snap ?

Indeed dogs are wonderful creatures etc but personally I've had enough.

I was clueless about dogs until I bought several of them and today I think it's the stupidest thing I ever done.

Why ?

For instance dog owners are full of BS romanticising the idea of dog ownership and misleading potential owners into thinking that it's a healthy lifestyle and "totally worth it".

The sacrifices, patience, time, energy and money BEHIND a dog are insane.

Dogs "brains" simply revolve around "Gimme food, gimme attention, I wanna play" and repeat. While a sane adult's life revolves around deeper and more important issues on a daily basis.

Feeding and cleaning after my dogs HAS become a daily bane and I hate every minute of it; I just keep kicking my self off of bed & couch to complete these insanely repetitive tasks.

Picking up dog shit every morning has struck a nerve in me; it's not gratifying to my persona.

All this is combined with dealing with dogs "Mental stimulation !! Pent up energy !! Separation anxiety !! Destructive behavior !!" Etc.

Therefore my question is this:

Who dafuq in their right mind signs up for this AND finds it gratifying ??

I'm starting to think each day; that dog owners are "mentally ill" in the sense that they're in need of help.

Wearing a dog like a badge of honour on your sleeve; just screams of "I'm desperate, got nothing going on in my life and I'm giving up on my life for a dog's sake just to look like someone with superior values, an animal lover, an empath and ultimately look like a decent human being".

Is this correct so far ?

Edit: All immature and insulting comments will be reported 😃

When does humanising dogs get too far ?

Recently I've been trying address my dog's issues to the online community on reddit etc.

Honestly I didn't benefit or "learn" anything about dogs here; except that the online dog communities are rather unhinged and that members need a reality check.

It seems that they're only competing among themselves as to who's the biggest dog nutter.

On the other hand; I've come to see that dog owners are the one's in need of professional help - in the sense that they struggle with society and with connecting to people but somehow they can connect to a dog.

It doesn't make you any better than the next pal just because you feel a connection with an animal.

In fact, I'd be worried around such a person bc they lack the means to connect to humans.

Once again, the online community keeps pushing an aggressive agenda on how owners should humanise their dog, misinformation and spending more time, energy and resources on said animal - the sky is the limit.

That's clearly crazy.

I've never been verbally abused and threatened by any online community except those of dog owners.

At this point it's fair to say that they can take their so-called ( jaded ) knowledge, wrap it up in a burrito and sit on it.

My point here is that online dog owners seem desperate, lonely and they're not what I'd call the cream of the crop - and their using a dog to fill some inner voids is bc they can't attract a decent human being.

For example; I tried asking about my dog begging for food etc and the answers I got were contradicting in nature.

One crowd screamed "It's all YOUR FAULT bc you keep feeding him scraps.."

While the other crowd screamed "Why not give him some of your scraps...what's the big deal ?? You're a horrible person.."

One nutter even crossed the lined sending threats like "Don't you dare place your dog outdoors.."

Bro, are you in your right mind or are you telling me what to do with my dog ? Can you feel a connection to my dog from across your keyboard ??

Back to humanising dogs; where do you draw the line ?

Dog fixated with food ? It's getting annoying.

My dog is about 4 years old and he's pestering me with food 24/7 regardless of 2 daily meals and an evening snack.

Personally I attribute this "fixation" to my kitchen; and he lives indoors ( for now ).

He started asking for food by pointing to pantry and fridge; he keeps tabs on the kitchen all day all year - if someone walks in they ought to eat and he'll rush in to grab a bite.

Eating at home has become a daily bane with him around; if you push him out to the yard, he knows there's food being consumed and expects his share when you let him back in - if it takes you more than 20 min to finish your food, he starts losing his shit by grunting, crying and perhaps scratch the door.

The kitchen and "food" are driving him crazy; he can't get enough to the point where it's burning a hole in my budget.

He eats wholesome food prepared just for him; and it's the most laborious and painstaking path to feeding a dog - but he won't switch to kibble once gotten used to fresh products, warm meals and variety.

Suggestions ?

Does ignoring a dog encourage them to try harder ?

This rather complex to explain; but I'll try to be as synthetic as possible.

Obviously I'm one of those guys that was clueless about dogs or pets in general besides what he saw on tv.

As the years went by; I realised how stupid I was to pretend to care for the dogs "endless", constant and perpetual needs.

So I had to make things harder; buy 3 dogs at once and take the path of cooking daily meals for them - the most inconvenient and laborious route.

Now, after 5 years, I'm literally fed the fuck up with their daily upkeep and needs.

All I see is a bag of needs on four legs staring and clinging at me 24/7.

I live alone on a homestead and figured that dogs belong on a homestead to guard the property; they partially do so if there's eminent danger but for the rest they're obsessed with me doing something for them or the god damn kitchen.

Yelling at them all day everyday is not benefiting my overall health; but there's no other way - routine, trainings etc is pretty much a load of BS to be honest.

For over a year I've been yelling "Stop!!!" and "Out the kitchen!!!" but they couldn't care less if you're not keeping your eyes glued on them.

Nowadays I'm trying to use a new policy; and that is "I only feed you and take your issues and needs somewhere else".

Boom, it just opened another Pandora's box as it is naturally expected of dogs.

Now their daily bane is to get that god damn attention out of me in one way or another.

If I push them out to the yard; it takes exactly 1hr before they lose their shit and start banging on the door, digging holes, tearing things apart or just making loud annoying noises.

I'm at an age where I need less work and more rest & comfort.

But the dogs are the opposite of that; and so I wonder about dog owners in general: Are they OCD and run on cocaine ? Do they all live in a dump cause there's no way anyone can keep up with house cleaning with dogs living inside.

My question is; how do I get my dogs to scram and get busy with anything that's not:

- Me.

- Destructive behaviour.

- Begging for attention.

- Eating poop and pissing all over the house.

How to stop dog from entering the kitchen ?

Basically it's driving us mad and making us look insane infront of the neighbourhood.

Every day, all month and all year; we're screaming and yelling at the dogs to get out the kitchen.

Yelling seems to be the only language they understand for 5 to 15 min tops - then we need to start all over.

I'm probably gonna get a heart attack due to all the yelling.

From my perspective; every house has a kitchen and every kitchen has food - the key word here is food and it's grinding the dogs' gears.

They'll sit and sleep outside the kitchen just to keep an eye on who's eating or if they can catch a crumb or similar.

Push them to the yard and they'll start whining and crying to come in and keep an eye on the kitchen.

Now, we can't take the kitchen out the house for the dogs sake.

My question is this: Do dogs really need to live indoors or belong to a house ?

My life would be so much easier if they lived outdoors inside a shed; and away from our food and belongings - plus they can potty whenever they want = less work.

Can you train a dog to stay out the kitchen ?

Since awhile I've had this dilemma in my mind and can't find an explanation anywhere online.

Ok I do understand that dogs have "pent up energy" but what I can't understand is this:

Why take out their "pent up energy" and "boredom needs" upon destroying our home and yard ?

There's an alternative; I take them out to the woods near my place so they can get "mentally stimulated" and ravage the place like it's their last day on earth.

But they won't; in fact they'll freeze and won't blink an eye.

Take them back home ? They'll tear the place down or at the very least eat their poop and piss all over the house.

What's wrong ?

Isn't this the equation:

Dog + nature + exploration = happy dog.

They're hunting dogs; therefore their natural environment is hunting prey out in the woods .... ??
