Barrel Stave Wall

5 bourbon barrels ripped apart, sanded and finished. Then 9 hours picking staves to match size as i air nailed in place. Looks good when finished. Just a royal pain getting there.

Relaxing in nature. Miss Fatness enjoying her time outside. Kinda like a lion crouched in the tall grass. Lol

Beer can chicken

My wife bought a roaster and wanted me to smoke it. She bought some "poultry rub" and everything. I just needed to make it happen.

I dont know what I was thinking. But I put the chicken with beer can in a foil pan. It added extra time to cook. It was super delicious but I missed my target time by 2 hours.

Pulled beef

Put a 3# chuck roast on the Traeger early Sunday. 265 until an internal of 165, then placed it in a foil pan with some onion and beef stock. Covered it in foil and bumped up the temp to 305. Removed it with an internal of 205. Left it rest for 20 mins and shredded it. Had this for supper.

Fat cat Friday!

Fatness Everdeen laying on the couch trying to avoid my 6 month old English bully. I keep waiting and hoping she lays the smack down but hasn't yet.

Slo mo shots

After bare shaft turning, I fetched some shafts. And set up the phone for slo mo. You can see the archers' paradox as the arrow clears the riser.

Crispy skin pork belly

Had this on the Traeger all day. Crabked up the heat and flipped skin down for 20 minutes for the crisp. Letting it rest before diving in. Oh, that's crispy.

Head ID help

Hello. I have a bunch of my dads old parts in storage for around 20 years. I just started going through them. Can someone help ID these heads? I think they are stock 69 Z28 heads. Not sure. They are new in the box. I had to cut the tape to get this one out for pix. I found all sorts of other parts I am am going through. Thanks.

Getting dialed in.

Bought myself a sanlida hermit for my birthday. Bare shaft tuned until it was a dart at 20 yards. Then, I experimented with 3 fletch and 4. And 2" batwing feathers and 3" trad vanes.

I really wanted the trad vanes to work, but they didn't fly as well as the feathers. So 4 fletch 2" batwing feathers it is. My 200gr simmons fly great with them.

This is field tips at 20 yards. I will probably have 1 or 2 trad vanes in the quiver for hunting. I am happy the way this new setup is coming together.

Ps the bag target is worn, and that is why the arrows are at different angles.
