Calling all pro animal Gamers/Game Developers!

Hi all, I'm the founder of Clean Meat Alliance, a 501(c)(3), metafundraising nonprofit dedicated to funding alternatives to factory farming.

Today, we are trying a new strategy: Building the largest ever email list of pro animal gamers and game developersSign up here!

A large email list is important because indie gamers want their product seen by as many people as possible early on. A couple hundred signups won't do. We need thousands to make an impact on future indie games. This is a test as to whether that's even possible. If we don't reach 1000 signups within two months, we may choose to scrap the project.

How does this help animals?:

  1. In exchange for indie developers sponsoring (ie. adding a donate button or donating % revenue), we give them access to a large email list and a place on our website (in the form of a 'thank you to our sponsors' section).
  2. We can create a community of play testers for any pro animal indie games.
  3. We will have options for Pro Animal Game Developers to showcase their work
  4. We can host game jams and even an incubator for pro animal games (our first thought is a "Meat on Mars" themed alt protein game jam).
  5. We can release our own games that will fund pro animal charities!

This is an experimental project. We think this will be cost effective (marketing costs only) and allow us to piggyback on the success of an indie game to raise money for animals. We want suggestions from you all too though, so please give us ideas.

A game we may be launching, called Foggy Farm.

Looking for Project Leads & Updates from our 501(c)(3) nonprofit

TLDR: Clean Meat Alliance has made significant progress on various projects, and we're looking for new leads and contributors on old and new projects with small stipends available via Flockwork.

Clean Meat Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is dedicated to educating about, and funding alternatives to factory farming, including cultivated meat.

We have several projects in the works, including mobile games and videos.

Some new updates:

  1. We have made significant progress on our game to generate funding for alternative proteins. Here is a sneak peak of the game. We are looking to finish an alpha in the next two months, and move to a kickstarter campaign.
  2. We are working on more cultivated meat videos, to let us provide our first cultivated meat grant
  3. We have a community project planned for building an open source strain of Aspergillus, though the timeline on this is long due to bandwidth.

What we're looking for from you:

We need owners to lead the following projects (min 4 hrs per week required) and/or contributors (2 hrs per week minimum required):

a) Political Organizing: An effort to reach out to politicians en masse asking them for their support on cultivated meat and/or alternative proteins. This is especially important given the upcoming elections in the U.S. We have template emails to send, but need someone to help with distribution.

b) Board Game Designer/Builder: A board game developer willing to lead a project on building a cultivated meat related board game, called Meat on Mars. No experience necessary if you want to learn on the job. We need people.

c) Corporate Liaison Organizer: We will assist with finding you liasons at tech companies that can help advertise the nonprofit @ companies, and invite tech employees to various events (game launches, tastings, etc.)

d) Software Engineer/Game Developer: We need someone to either assist with the existing game, Foggy Farm, or a leader to design and develop a Meat on Mars mobile game (separate from our board game).

e) Biology Community Project Lead: This one is a longshot, but if you're located in Seattle, we do need someone to lead a community project on creating an open source strain of Aspergillus Oryzae for recombinant protein production. Clean Meat Alliance will cover costs.

f) We are looking for new board members who can commit time to help organize and find leads for other projects.

Please ping me on reddit, or reach out via the contact form on https://cleanmeatalliance.org/about

Hi all,

I've pretty much decided on a plan with HiLine, but I want your advice on which customization options I should pick (if you're familiar with what they offer), and what types of corners they might cut so I can be aware of it. I'm on a budget of $500k for building a home, so I can't really afford the more expensive home builders.

Hi,

I'm back, and trying to organize a national rally against Ridglan Farms with two goals - generate local media publicity to keep our momentum going and get people to call their local representatives to encourage them to pressure RFK and the NIH.

We have a National Rally Facebook Event

We have local facebook events for:

Miami

NYC

Boston

Los Angeles

Seattle

DC/NIH Meetup

with more to come....

What do I need from you?

If you live in ANY of the above cities, please invite as many people as you know (if you know 500 people, 500 please) to the facebook events there.

If you do not live in one of the above cities, invite people to the national rally event (please, not 10 people, but 300-500 invites per person). The dogs at Ridglan have at maximum until July 1st before they're sold off to a lab or euthanized.
