Life expectancy of my Q7

2021 45 TSI with ~67.5k miles. Bought the expensive warranty which is good through 75k miles. It’s been a great car with minimal issues. Never left me stranded! Some bugs here and there - typical Audi stuff. Had motor mounts replaced and a leaky shock replaced both under warranty around 45k miles. I do smell coolant after drives but no signs of leaks.

Realistically, how long could I possibly keep this thing? I love it, no desire to sell it. But I do wonder about its longevity. Any higher mileage 2.0ts out there?

Maui then Oahu

I’ll be on Maui for a month starting in August, and am contemplating jumping over to Oahu for a week afterwards to stay in Waikiki. I’ve never been, but I’ve been to Maui countless times and always love it. Any Maui lovers have any advice? Worth the couple grand to do it?

Sharing a win

It’s been a tough market and a lot of people in my industry are dropping off and struggling. I closed the biggest loan of my career (2yrs in) and am beyond stoked. Went through hell to get here, but kept going and never gave up. Cheers to many more!

Bets for tomorrows opening

How are we feeling for tomorrows market open? Will we see a full point market improvement? 🤞

Ideas for a monthly stay

My wife and I are planning a month-long stay in Maui from August 8 to September 8 (with some flexibility on the departure date) and would love some advice from locals and frequent visitors.

We've always gravitated toward West Maui and are currently looking at places anywhere from Kāʻanapali to Kapalua. We'll likely rent a car through Turo for the month, but we're wondering if we should consider other parts of the island for a stay this long.

A little context: we run our business remotely, so reliable Wi-Fi and cell service are important. We're hoping to recreate a bit of the work-life balance we enjoy at home in Laguna Beach—work in the mornings, grab coffee nearby, get some beach time in during the day, then wrap up a few more hours of work before dinner.

Ideally, we'd love an area that's somewhat walkable, where we can stroll to a coffee shop, get our steps in, and maybe have a gym nearby for a few workouts each week. We'll probably do a Costco run and cook at home several nights, but we also love trying local restaurants and supporting local businesses.

We've explored much of Maui on previous trips, but we've never actually stayed outside of West Maui. For those who've spent extended time on the island, is there another area you'd recommend for a month-long stay?

Also, we haven't been back since our wedding in Maui in 2022 and haven't seen Lahaina since the fires. Is there anything visitors should know about the area these days, or any ways to respectfully support the community while we're there?

Would especially love to hear from any fellow entrepreneurs, remote workers, or digital nomads who've done a similar extended stay.

Mahalo!

Typo or play on words?

The cover of today’s paper read ‘Cleaning Trasure Island’, referencing an organized clean-up effort at Treasure Island Beach last week. I thought to myself - no way could there be such a blatant typo on the front page of the newspaper - could it be a play on words? Trashure Island? 🤣 drop your opinions below

Graffiti house above Aliso

Has anyone else noticed this graffiti house on the hillside above Aliso beach? It’s known locally as the Hangover house. Such an eye sore!

Bagged another 30k month in April 🙏🏼 receipts for those that said I was full of it last month. Got a lot of DMs asking what I do, how I got here, etc. - faith & discipline. Just keep showing up. And pick an industry you can actually make real money in. So many BS ‘opportunities’ out there these days.

And for those who will ask - I’m in the lending world. I have a team and am open to mentees in the USA. Real estate experience is a bonus.

Make it a good week 🤙🏼

Rebelution at the Pacific Amphitheater / OC Fair will forever be my favorite show! Have seen them three times here. Quick throwback to 2024 when they toured with Kolohe Kai - absolutely loved this version of safe & sound! Wish they would release this!
