For anyone who bought this tee, what’s the fit like? And is it good quality or kind of see through? I’m always wary of white shirts.
In Canada, the movie is available to buy on prime video for $6.99 (not sure if it’s on sale or for how much in other countries). If you’ve been looking for a good deal to buy the movie, or just want a digital copy to accompany your bluray, now’s your opportunity!
It’s been much longer than 20 minutes, but Chris the cop finally came through. He better be in a great mood!
Full disclosure, I am Canadian, but I hate the way bilingual bluray packaging looks. I usually buy US blurays from Amazon. But this was one of the rare cases, where the Canadian packaging was soooo much nicer. So I decided to design my own slipcover to go over the US bluray. I know lots of people have been sad about how bland the US packaging is, so thought I’d share if anyone else wants to print it out for themselves.
I’ll attach the templates in the comments.
I printed at Staples on 8.5x11 - 12pt. Glossy Cover Cardstock. I needed to paste the images into a word doc because when I tried just printing the images, it would resize before printing. Each image should be 6.75”H x 6.5” wide. The spines are 0.5 wide each, so just measure, fold and glue the two pieces together :)
Also shoutout to the person who scanned the inside of the insert for me! I was able to print that out and put it inside so it matches how the Canadian release looks.
If you’ve listened to the commentary with Matt, Jay, Jared and Matt Miller, you know what I’m talking about. They bleep out a large section where Jay is revealing whatever tricks or illegal things they did to achieve the CN tower jump. But I don’t understand what could be so incriminating. We know they actually did the edge walk. They explain in the commentary that every person who does the walk gets video footage which is taken from a camera on the tour guide’s head, so they choreographed the scene based on the moves they knew he would do. And then obviously the cutting the harnesses, jumping off and skydiving is all VFX.
They are maybe just being silly by bleeping, but it did sound like Jay was actually saying something. And they’ve said in many interviews that they did potentially illegal things that they aren’t allowed to talk about.
It’s my moms bday tomorrow and she loves peanut butter cookies. Hit me up with the best ones in the area! No extra add-in like Reese chunks or anything, just plain delicious PB.
Can someone please record the Q&A from tonight’s Dirties screening at the Revue with MJ? 🙏
Has anyone successfully recreated a bottle of Orbitz? I know there’s a few tutorials on YouTube, but they have some weird ingredients I’ve never cooked with before. Also, it’s just a prop, so I don’t need it to actually be drinkable. I cannot figure out the right combo of liquid and orbs to make them appear suspended in the drink. Everything I’ve tried either floats to the top or sinks to the bottom. Closest I’ve gotten was beads in corn syrup, but they still sink…just slowly lol.
I’m from Canada born and raised and lived in Toronto for 12 years. I’ve never really noticed Canadian accents. Usually the stereotypical one you hear in movies and on TV is Canadians who live in more remote parts of the country.
That being said, I do pick up on it in this show which I find surprising since they’re both Torontonians. The one word I always notice is how Matt says “Piano”. Just curious if people from other countries think they have strong accents or what other words are total giveaways in the show?
Everyone please share links to your custom Nirvanna merch!
Someone in my area is selling a signed movie poster on Facebook marketplace….I practically did a spit take when I saw “M.H.J” and “Jay McCamel” in the description.
