Car wash. Yeah yeah, I know. Tesla mobile service replaced for free, but had to order new plate from the state, pain in the butt.

Had to add the extra magnet to the front of the X430 to get the gate to work. I know the X430 is supposed to have the magnet installed already but for whatever reason, it just didn’t work.

My fence is on a slight grade so maybe that’s why but it’s level enough for the doors to swing freely in either direction .

Something very odd happened after passing back through that has me concerned though: it tried to BACK UP just after crossing through the gate successfully (with extra magnet on front) into the LOCKED GATE, and if I hadn’t been there to intervene would have dug itself into the ground and/or damaged my vinyl fence.

That is likely due to restricted amount of area on in the zone where the gate is. Will have to adjust the zone I think to give the unit more space to navigate once through without backing up.

Trial and error…

Gotta a service appointment scheduled. Going through insurance ($500 deductible).

Driver error. Getting used to the size of the car. Last pic is what the other undamaged side looks like for comparison.
