Dublin here I come!

Hiya, 26F here. I'm moving to Dublin in exactly one week and don't know almost anyone there! I'd love to chat and make some friends!

I'm chill and easy-going, love going out and hanging out, though not a fan of nightclubs haha, a history geek (and a freshly-crowned historian haha), horror movie aficionado, coffee lover and pub enthusiast!

So, anyone up for a chat or hanging out in Dublin?

How safe is using wise to send a larger sum of money between two countries?

Not keeping them in there long term, just using it to convert & send? I'm in the process of moving country so any prospect if getting founds frozen scares me.

I need to get my money from my polish bank (have it in zloty and a few other currencies) to my new Irish bank. I want to move most of my funds, eventually all, and close the old account at some point.

I was thinking of putting them in Wise, converting to euro and then sending to Irish bank. All accounts are in my name only. Is this likely to cause any issues? Is revolut or wise safer for this?

I wanted to avoid converting my funds to euro in my polish bank (despite that being an option) as conversion rate is much less favourable and I'd end up paying a lot for this.

Anyone did this here and had an issue, like a frozen account or money taking long to arrive?

Thanks a mill!
