I recently got this from a collector who got it in Latvia along with a few others.

It is really pretty, he said the enamel is better preserved because it was buried under sand instead of mud. If anyone here knows about the hallmarks I'd love to know the year and possible maker.

Thought I'd share as I believe it is 1899-1918, so this would have been around the same time as the Romanovs.

Looking for £300-350

The full guitar is worth close to £2000, but I only have the neck. Perfect condition, maple all over, 21 frets and fender vintage style original tuners.

I don't know why they are pink, it is either discoloration from exposure or age possibly, or a filter applied. But I thought they were interesting, and some great pictures too 🙃

It's just two 1998 versions of Smile and the re issue of Niandra. My favourite John albums personally.

Not sure why I have two, and they are weird as only play on computers and not cd players. They are both legit aswell, they have the little code on the disc.

As they arent formal pictures I struggled to date them, but I still wanted to share as Anastasia pictures are often the most interesting and unusual.

Also, I thought it was interesting Nicholas was letting her have his cigarette, but I suppose it was still considered a health benefit then. Even worse I think I read Olga was given arsenic shots to attempt to help her ease herself following her nursing in 1915, which we now know is also very bad for you.

I believe the first two are from 1909. The photos say from the visit to Paldinski but that could be wrong

The third looks to be in possibly cavalry uniform.

The fourth is from the pictures with Pavel Voronov, who Olga liked, 1911.

The fifth and sixth look to be 1915/1916, and I'm not sure whose baby that is but Olga doesn't seem too happy there.

I'm fairly sure the final image is from the 1914 formal photoshoots. Although I get confused if it was 1913 or 1914 so I could be wrong.

Some nice pictures of the two, I'll do my best to give a little information based on what I know, but It may not be accurate.

The first picture looks to be 1913/1914, not sure where.

The second looks like 1915 or more likely 1916

The third is 1915 I believe, taken on the Standardt I think?

I was hoping today would be the day I finally upgrade my favourite guitar, even still today, my old sonic squier.

I was so excited to receive the new neck, it's from a Fender FSR "Special Stratocaster" from 2006/2007. I love a maple neck, and a reverse headstock is like my dream as I am a big hendrix fan. The Neck is a bit more yellow than I'd hoped, but whatever right? (Seriously are there are fender maples necks which are white like mine?)

And then I tried to fit it on, and I had worked out the dimensions were all the same with the guy I bought it from, so I was thinking itd be a quick job. Long story short, it fits fine, but the screw holes are like 2mm too high at all four points.

So now I'm stuck with my favourite strat (Cleaned up a bit after realising it's not getting upgrades 😢), my Nashville strat, and a rather expensive neck which I don't know what to do with.

I am absolutely not in the financial position to buy a body for it right now, and considering it didn't fit either of those, I would assume it'd only fit on a proper fender body, so it may have to stay on my floor until it either gets sold or put on something way in the future.

Anyway, hope you cried to my little story, and despite my guitars being a bit boring, I still love them haha. (Any idea what the neck is worth? 😛)

I've been really hesitant to post it anywhere, it's very rough for the most part. Its inspired a lot by John Frusciantes first 2 albums of lofi music ish.

It was recorded really quickly, over about 3 weeks in may. I have since recorded a second album which I'm much more proud of, but haven't put online yet.

I am a fully self taught guitarist, so my playing is messy and strange at times, but all the sounds on this album were made by one guitar except 3 samples I used and the touch screen piano I used on a couple.

Let me know thoughts, the quality of the recordings is not great, I've learnt a lot since I started even over a few months about how to retain quality, but I thought there were definitely moments across these recordings im proud of, even if it's less than I hoped. That's why I went for round 2 haha

I saw this multiple times while reading, that Maria was seen as a "stepsister" and maybe untrusted more than her siblings by the family.

"Margaretta Eagar said that "Maria was born good... with the very smallest trace of original sin as possible."^([6]) According to Eagar, her older sisters Olga and Tatiana once referred to Maria as their "stepsister" because she was so good and never got into trouble. When she stole biscuits from her mother's tea table, Nicholas said that he was relieved "to see she is only a human child" because he "was always afraid of the wings growing."^([31]) 

Maria's sisters took advantage of her. Her sisters nicknamed her "fat little bow-wow".^([25]) In 1910, Maria wrote Alexandra a letter asking to give Olga her own room and allow her to let down her dresses. Maria tried to persuade her mother that it was her own idea to write the letter, including at the end of the letter "P.S. It was my idea to write to you."^([32]) 

As the middle child of the family, Maria felt insecure about her role and worried that she was not as loved as her siblings were. She apparently worried that her mother preferred Anastasia to her, as Alexandra sent her a note "I have no secrets with Anastasia, I do not like secrets."^([34]) Alexandra sent Maria another note: "Sweet child, you must promise me never again to think that nobody loves you. How did such an extraordinary idea get into your little head? Get it quickly out again."^([34]) Feeling excluded by her older sisters, Maria tried to befriend her cousin Princess Irina Alexandrovna, but Alexandra warned her that this would only make her sisters "imagine... that you do not want to be with them."^([34]) " - Wikipedia

I didnt think anything of it until I read more on the situation at Ipatiev, where Yurovsky noted the same,

[Yurovsky] writing in his 1922 memoir that "she is not similar to... the first two sisters: [she is] somewhat reticent and considered like a step-daughter in the family... [h]ere the special position Maria held in the family was confirmed".^([122]) 

What got me thinking about any possibility of this is why Maria was taken with her parents (from Tobolsk to Yekaterinburg) over her siblings, as Alexei or Tatiana would have made more sense to go. However this is also useful because it explains why she didnt have the jewels in her clothes, as she wasnt present when they were fitted as Gilliard said, which is what Yurovsky could have based his opinion on.

 Anyone have any thoughts or ideas as to if this is true or any information? I doubt that it is, but its just a pattern i picked up on and though I would share
