Any tips on how to fill shocks better?

When I fill shocks, they either collapse within the first few minutes of a run or they're never as plush as they were when they were new.

The o-rings are new. I try to get all the bubbles out of the oil, but maybe could wait longer. The hardest part for me is knowing how much oil to put in. Too little oil and there's no spring back. Too much oil and they're stiff, which in this photo lead to immediate collapse.

Once filled and re-tightened, how much should the shock return back out? One fourth? One half?

Plenty of mistakes, but nothing a few decals and paint touch ups can't mostly fix. The Typhon body was done second, and was much better.

The pics are dark to catch the paint better. The Tamiya PS-46 really is better in person, and so is the Pro-Line Axis body on the Typhon. It looks bad in pics, but actually pretty cool in person.
