I would absolutely kill for a grecian goddess look instead of this, but I think this is pretty cute
We have so many ghouls with connection to Greek mythology, it would hit so right.
Rae was the first of my Moonspell girls, and like many, I was not pleased with her style.
Cut her skirt, painted her earrings (wtf were her colors??) And adjusted her hair a bit to really make her feel like the sun ☀️
And I loved her top and had a Clawdeen awaiting a restyle, so now they're in love ❤️
I have 2 more coming in separate orders, so here's hoping I get her next!
Anyone else try something like this to add some stability to their stands?
I gotta try it on the cheap Amazon ones too, but the visibility may be unpleasant 🤔

Second and third pics came with a near perfectly curled streak.

All I did for #2 was spray a little water to revive the gel and used it to smooth out some of the strays, using the end of a paintbrush as well to shape it and then help define the rest of his curls. He looks perf 😍

Hoping #1 turns out. I wetted his streak as well and tried curling it but to get both colors to show well, I figured flattening it with the plastic would give it the better shape.
Bestie nabbed Fang Vote Rochelle for me 🥺

Spelldon and Valentine have arrived.
I adore them they're gorgeous, they feel so lovingly designed, ans I'm just so obsessed with Spelldon I can't even describe my joy!
A work of art, imo, a love letter to the queer fans with characters that feel real and gorgeous!

Only one downside, imo, all the gel holding Val's hair in place omg 😢 (she's getting a wash, asap) meanwhile Spelldon's looked pretty good with just a bit of fluffing and reshaping. He's as perfect as I'd hoped ❤️🌈
Ghoul arrived last night, and I've been so excited to get her! A huge improvement over her core doll, in my opinion.
And I've been really impressed with the immersive play accessories this line includes, her record player and ghost light are my favorite pieces!
I don't want to undo her hairstyle but I'm thinking maybe just dunking her ponytail into boiled water to smooth it out a bit. Also thinking of swapping her hands to the translucent ones. What yall think? 🤔
Did I buy a Skelita specifically for this? Yes absolutely.
She doesn't stay on her stand very well, so modification may be needed, but I think I like this better!

I absolutely love the screening on self scare Drac, but was extremely disappointed by her hair. I don't hate poly as strongly as others, but the style and color just felt untenable to me, didn't look good in any style I tried, so I knew I would need a rerooted one.
And so I just happened upon this ghoul, and had to make her mine.
Ghouls, if there's one thing I love, it's big voluminous hair, and it's such a serve on this Drac! I adore the shade of pink as well.
I'm so thrilled, but now she needs a fit to match the look!
Help! What style or pieces would suit this queen??
Hi all! This has been a long time coming, I've just been pushing it off and off and off, but you guys deserve more mods looking out for the community.
Before I get into it, I want to layout my expectations for what moderating looks like for this subreddit.
Above all, my primary function is protecting the users. Protecting from harassment, scam, insults, and even other forms of abuse like karma farming or other lesser known hazards on Reddit. I want the community to be interacting as a community, not responding to bots or people only out here to profit off of our experiences.
And then of course, just making this an enjoyable space for the community. I come from old internet days where spaces were more specific, niche, and populated by only the most dedicated fans of a thing. To me, community spaces require moderation simply to stay enjoyable. The biggest hand I have in that, is removing the folks who do not participate in good faith, or fail to show common decency and respect for the people that they're interacting with. This does, also include removing repetitive or low quality posts. Low quality is a little harder to put a finger on, but you can generally tell when a post was made just for the sake of posting vs actually looking to have real and genuine interactions while sharing their own thoughts and feelings on a subject.
Throwing up a post saying "What do you think of ____ " when there's already active discussion threads is in fact, low quality, and will likely be removed.
That said, sometimes a repetitive thread may be left up if the community is engaging in it in a positive way. Because at the end of the day, all the moderation is for the community, its not for the mods, its not for me, it's for the majority, for what they want to engage with.
Trust me when I say there are plenty of posts I simply do not like to see! But if they are not inherently harmful, rude or otherwise rule breaking, I scroll on by
Since the sub IS community centered, and I hope to always to keep it that way, every rule has been determined by the community, and most of those rules were in fact voted into place. I get it, we don't always agree with the rule, or like it, but I can assure you every rule has a purpose, and probably even a story behind it.
So, know that I do rely on the community's voices, their reports, their opinions, and yes unfortunately their complaints. I am always open to hear what you all are saying, but do please keep in mind, I am just a very hard working volunteer here because I love the same stuff you do, and I am deserving of respectful communication. If you can speak to me in thoughtful way, I'm always way more inclined to consider what you have to say than when you want to devolve into insults.
Anyway, that's enough of me blabbing. Long story short, I have a lot of genuine love for this community and want to keep it thriving, so I will need some partners to see that through.
