My favorite era of Billy Joel
I would like to know how to make something
Blue Edition. A discontinued Red Bull that was my favorite flavor of all time. Do you know any ingredients I can slap together to make a Blue Edition at home? I need both the nostalgic flavor AND the metallic bite. Anyone?
I would like to know something about Red Thunder
I have been part of the Red Bull world for about 2 or 3 months. I have found that Blue Edition was my go to about a month before it was discontinued. Its like evicting a person out of a home they have been in for a month. People that have tried Red Thunder; is Red Thunder Berry a dupe of Blue Edition? If so, it will be my go-to. Follow up question; Is it still available?
EDIT: I tried it! It tasted nothing like Blue Edition and more like the original one. If I want originals I'm getting Berry Red Thunder because it is basically the same.
Stones.. What happened to the guy with the cursed Roggie pic?
Competitive-plum-407 was a great guy in the sub. Sad he's gone. Where is he?
The Nylon Curtain is The Final Cut of the Billy Joel catalog. Am I overanalyzing?
I belive that the times, content, and music of these albums match up quite a bit. I know, I know, they are two different musical styles, but both of these albums have a striking resemblance in their own catalog. Roger Waters (in Pink Floyd) wrote The Final Cut in response to The Falklands War and wrote all this stuff about it and put it into a full concept album. The Nylon Curtain is the closest Billy ever got to releasing a concept record, and a couple of the tracks are about war and that sort of thing. Though about totally different subjects, some tracks desire for the protagonist to be away from a person and/or calling said person an absolute looney. Even though only a little bit of these 2 albums actually share concepts lyrically, I believe that The Final Cut is The Nylon Curtain of the Floyd catalog and vice versa with TNC being TFC of the Billy catalog. Adding to that, The Nylon Curtain is the masterpiece of Billy Joel due to the use of sound effects that carry the music one way or another. The Final Cut does the same thing too, though the songs seamlessly transition. I would like to know if my thought was an overanalyzation or if I might be onto something.
We need to address the Scandinavian Skies slander
I personally think that Scandinavian Skies is the best song in his catalog. No joke. And every other Nylon Curtain song is at least top 25 for me. This album has done a lot for me (and Billy Joel himself for that matter!) I think that this specific track IS the least accessible in his catalog, and somebody will not dig it as much I do, but 2/10?? These people are on more heroin than Billy Joel was on the airplane. This hearts my heart and we do not deserve the slander against this beauty of a masterpiece.
I would post this to r/askreddit but I'll post here
So today I went to a store right to buy a red bull right? I successfully got it and walked out. A couple moments later i walked past my friend and we hung out for an hour and he wondered what red bull tastes like so i was kind enough to get one for him and another for me right? So i went to a different store because i dont want the clerk of the old one thinking im a fucking jittery caffeine addict right? So i go to this store about a couple blocks away right? So the unopened red bull was in my back pocket right? Good thing i catalog each new flavor of redbull i get so i already took a picture and it was 30 mins warm. So i walked in with my friend and successfully purchased a redbull for him and me and we were about to walk out. The clerk of this store said i was stealing because i had a redbull in my back pocket so me and my friend were like telling her that i had it. She didnt believe it for a second because we are young men and most teenagers steal that kind of stuff. She DEMANDED me to pay for it and i told her i had photographic evidence i previously bought the redbull, which i have that evidence because of my cataloging. She believed me after that and we shook hands but im still sketched out that she will do something like call the police when im 101% innocent. What do i do if further actions take place? Should I involve my friend if it does happen?
In my personal lists, all of them come out to be my top 10 is filled with every Nylon Curtain song. I love that album's approach to style and I love all 9 tracks on it. Every single one clogs my top 10
