Fluff list advice?

I really wanted to make a fluffy list, but also don't just want to get Tabled, is there anything you'd change that sticks with the nightlords themes? Im probably most unsure of what Detachment to run.

Struggling with list building for 11th

I played my first game of 11th with a CSM list, and started trying to look at building a list for admech since that's what I mostly played in 10th, but honestly, there's so much going on I've got a bit of decision paralysis. I know im focusing on Skitarii with Eradication Cohort, but my usual breacher bricks from 10th seem like they might not be the play.

More just curious as to what you all have had success with, what models you like to lean in to, etc.

Another issue im seeing is that there are so many slightly different versions of various skill monkeys that finding the right balance feels hard. any help is appreciated.

Help Understanding Enemy Targeting

I just got through a "wilderness encounter" where a group of drow tricked me into sitting with them and ambushed the party.

I failed a will save which put my kinda squishy blaster Caster in the middle of their group. Initiative starts and I get knocked down which sucks but I get it. I buff seelah a bit and she rides her horse over and just starts obliterateing these guys. Like every attack sequence drops either one or two of them, while they struggle to hit her. Maybe 2 enemies out of the (roughly) 15 of these drow attack seelah, the rest of them run past her and immediately drop 4 members of my party into deaths door, since almost all of them have sneak attack damage.

So the fight turned into, my whole party except seelah is dead, and now she just runs around killing everything while they Flail miserably trying to hit her. Her mount has an Ac of 24, and the rest of the party has ac of between 17 and 22. (Most of them are decent but i keep forgetting to give woljif better gear tbh).

Im not really sure if theres an aspect of the enemy aggro that I just dont get, and I know that the enemies are supposed to be "intelligent" but if the action economy is going to be that heavily skewed, it seems unreasonable to have the enemies use traditional tactics players do. (Ie. Focus fire enemies to remove them from combat and then overwhelm the remaining). Each one of those drow is getting roughly the same number of attacks as my characters, yet outnumber them nearly 3 to 1.

Im on normal difficulty by the way.

(Im also aware that I might have just built a bad party btw. First playthough and whatnot)

How do you decide between Abundant Casting or Enduring Spells

Just finished getting through the Grey Garrison with my first character, full wizard.

Im curious what the different benefits of these two choices would be, or like what builds those are meant to support. On the surface I feel like Abundant Casting is better? Not many of the spells ive seen have a duration in hours, and using 2 of these abilities to just not have to rest that often if you want buffs applied all the time, seems not as great as having more versatility in individual combats.

Is enduring spells basically just for buffs? Ive just read things that really sing its praises and im curious what the philosophy there is.
