Any use Marlins muzzle brake?

I am looking to add a muzzle brake to my 1895 SBL 45-70 and a lot of the ones I see are a radial brake or use a nut or some type of adapter that I am not really into. I found the one that Marlin makes and it uses a crush washer and has top and side ports so it should work pretty good at reducing recoil and muzzle rise. Also at $90 is a decent price for polished stainless to match the finish. Wondering if anyone has used one and how they like it.

And yes I would love a suppressor but we can't get nice things here...

RCBS Stuck Case Kit

Well I was bored and got tired of seeing my RCBS Stuck Case Kit in its bag while cleaning off my bench so I threw together this case for it. Might be adding a slot for a washer later if I can find one in my spare parts drawer that works with the bolt.

Check it out here

2013 Beetle with lots-o-lights

My kid has a 2013 beetle that they were sitting in listening to music and ran the battery down. I was able to jump start it but shortly after it would randomly display airbag, abs, traction control, and tire pressure lights. I hooked up a buddies scan tool and all of the codes had to do with low voltage and saw that the key on engine off the battery voltage was 11.6 volts. I assume the codes were coming on because of the voltage drop at engine crank. I replaced the battery and after the codes were gone for maybe 3 startups now the lights are back. I have not had a chance to hook up the scan tool again but was wondering if anyone could possible give me an idea of anything else to look at until I have a chance to hook up the scan tool again. I know its hard to diagnose without knowing what the codes are but figured someone may have seen something similar.

Better bullet for the 45-70 than the Hornady FTX?

Just ordered a Marlin 1895 SBL in 45-70 and looking over load data. Any reason to use anything other than the Hornady 325 grain FTX bullet? I will be using the rifle for range trips as well as deer hunting out to about 100 yards but realistically 90% of shots will be 60 yards or less. Also what is everyone's favorite powder to pair with it in the SBL?

Can I get some help finding a part

I have a 2013 beetle and can not find a part number for the piece missing from the air inlet. I have replaced the elbow and cover for the air inlet because they were missing when I bought the car but none of the drawings that I have found show the adapter that is missing. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

How are Lothar Walther barrels?

Been wanting to get a ARC Coup de Grace action for a while now and see that you can get it as a barreled action with Lothar Walther barrel for 400 more. How are Lothar Walther barrels and are they worth the 400 or can I do better for that price?
