We are 8 days in. . . Many pieces already finished and were removed to lower chances of snags. The snug supports that succeeded everywhere else failed on 1 model in 1 spot and exactly the same on its copy.
It's almost wrapped. sadly due to how assembled models work skipping it isn't an option. Just need 50 more layers </3

Want to start off by saying this is a 4 out of 5 printer.
I just couldn't in good faith recommend it ,stock, to a beginner.
I almost fell in love with it because it's creating stunningly clear and consistent layers down to 0.06 for a quarter the cost of most others.
That said, she's got a big red flag in the form of the stock wiper system that continued to let me down for my first 200 prints or so. Far superior pooping to the bamboo x1e and x1c that I own and that I have had to modify. They reflect what the elegoo carbon 2 has stock.
Using elegoo brands materials for any multicolor printing(PLA, PETG) has not worked out. Neither has any other brands but I wanted to highlight I did my best to work inside the elegoo ecosystem before turning outward.
The Currently picture print is of the 0.2 nozzle (elegoo brand nozzle) They're amazingly crisp parts with intense detail in three colors at 0.06 layers. But I have to be extremely worried for the first 24 hours of the print because of how the poop will ruin it. The AI is supposed to detect foreign objects on the plate (i.e the poop) but that has not worked a single time. The only thing the AI has done is falsely pause every print start no matter how clean it looked. Which on a 4 hour, 25mm/s, full plate, 3 color layer 1 is super annoying to wake up to.
Until your print it is lower than the poop chute there is a high chance poop will fall into the space before the shoot, jamming the shoot and creating a cascade failure that threatens to BLOB your head. Which I caught it doing on single color prints with the 0.4 nozzle within my first hundred prints of PETG.
Even after the bed clears the poop chute, there is a big chance that poop just lands on your plate instead of the shoot. (As pictured above,woke up to 4 on the plate and 16 below the plate in inside the printer)

(INB4 every step of the way everything's been measured twice. Any head/nozzle swap immediately had a full suite of calibration and I even double-checked with dial calipers and a custom fixture to make sure that we had an even consistent base across the entire print area. Barely 5 microns of difference across the plate(slight dip in the middle, pretty common with plastic plates), I think this is also a good time to note that when you're changing out the printhead the power to the heater has absolutely no silicone securing the female end to the printhead. So when you go to pull on the mail and it will just completely pop out and you'll have to reinsert the female and over the pins. I've got absolute sausage fingers so I can't be doing that everytime. I put a dab of silicone glue to the base of it to stop it from pulling out)
