Some people online get way too upset about the actions of bad people, I don’t think they should

So I’m not online very much, only use Reddit and Twitter for art and memes about my favorite games, but sometimes I’ll see controversy or drama about terrible people being “exposed” or how this person did some terrible thing and they should be punished. I don’t know how they’d be punished I’m just paraphrasing.

I don’t want to name anything or anyone to make anyone a target, but some of the recent controversies I’ve seen are relatively popular. And sure, some of the people involved are doing bad things.

But the key is: there’s nothing you can do about that. You can make posts about it, calling them a bad person like everyone else is, or make a google doc, but ultimately, it hardly does anything. Just block them and keep doing your thing. It’s just text and images on the screen, it’s easy to get rid of. Some people may have been actually affected by terrible people, and that is painful to know, but there’s not much online bystanders can do. It’s up to those involved to deal with the situation.

That said though, I’m not even sure if I’m confident in this opinion. I feel like everyone gets emotionally involved about stuff like this so I might be in the wrong here for being too apathetic, and I’m sorry if I said anything insensitive. I just feel like it’d be easier to quickly move on from any controversy and actually do stuff you like.

Anyone else’s store doing a bead program??

So for the last few weeks the managers at my store have been pushing this bead thing. Everyone wears a necklace of beads and if you catch someone else not doing their customer service thing by not talking to a customer within 10 ft of them, you can take their beads.

My GM is being sooo strict about it, they said that if they find you don’t have your beads because someone else took them it could lead to a talking to in private. A couple managers are being kinda condescending about it so it’s pretty annoying.

And it’s not like I’m completely incapable of customer interaction, I’m just really, really shy. Hence why I work in the backroom. But I’m on the floor enough for it to scare me, I’d really rather not get berated because I was too nervous to talk to a customer.

I’d love to find another job but there’s nothing in my area that fits me 😭 I really wanna get outta here lol

Anyone else’s Pinterest really slow?

Hai so I’d love to use my Pinterest but it’s incredibly slow for some reason. Just scrolling through my feed is painful because when I hover my cursor over an image, it can take almost an entire second for the UI options to pop up over it. Opening my boards is almost impossible sometimes because it takes so long to load, and most of the time once I am in the board, it only loads a few images before taking forever to load the rest. This is such a pain because I like to go back through my boards a bunch for just normal scrolling through my favorite stuff (I save a lot of memes and artwork).

The app is nearly impossible for me to use. Ads are insane. I swear, I once counted it and I got an ad like every 2 images. I’m sticking with Adblock on my pc

Reapply after being fired?

So I got fired from Sam’s about 5 weeks ago (attendance issues, completely my fault) and I’m wondering if it’s possible for me to reapply after a certain period of time, or at the very least, apply to Walmart. Right now I’m working at an another small retail location that doesn’t pay as well for the time being, so I’d definitely prefer something with more pay.

How long do I need to wait before it’s acceptable for me to apply to any Sam’s or Walmart location? Is it even possible for me at all?
