Is there a site sells an all-inclusive LPK for 2011/1911s?
much like a LPK for an AR lower.
i currently just piecemeal parts needed to complete a x11 frame.
but figured there was somewhere that sells a complete LPK or an LPK thats 80-90% complete.
I have multiple FFL purchases, but they very rarely get range time. Even my FFL AR-PCCs.
Whenever I look through the the collection to see what I want to take out, its almost always a DIY build. Whether 3DP or AR-80%... Even my 80% glocks and 80% sigs dont really get too much attention..
Just something about a DIY build.. having it run reliably, accurately, that excites the senses.
Sometimes I just like looking at the collection dry firing a couple pistols or just shouldering a few 80% AR builds....

Have a 10mm in the works. Missing a piece in the 10mm slide.. and also printing a sti frame with a rail to install the optic mount.
i know some here also frequent the now-defunct mup-1 sub.
but in case anyone needs some, looks like someone may be machining batches of mup-1s.

I put toghether another spynx 92fs.
This time with an optic plate.
Took it out to the range this morning and the thing is a dart.. well after dialing in the dot.
For whatever reason all my 92fs builds shoot low at 7 yrds when using their iron sights.
For my other Sphynx, I need to install an adjustable rear site it seems.

the favorite out of all these has to be the sti-11.
however all shoot straight and ACCURATE.
from 7yrds out to 50yrds.
up next a 45acp max-11 sti version. although need to research what mag length is supported.
still working on the sti version..
but depending on how this runs,
i plan on building multiple versions(commander, short, etc)
in multiple calibers.
just need to sort out the sti front rail fitment issues.
i may have printed the sti versions at the wrong angle.
ive printed multiple STI frames(no scallop, no front rail), and each frame's front rail pocket is considerably smaller than the front rail.
the sig frame, same no-scallop, no front rail), and the front rail pocket is sized accordingly.
also notice the sti frame is slightly shortter than the sig frame.
maybe a different set of STI STLs were uploaded compared to what was tested ?
i have my STI frame complete (sear, sear srping hammer all work), just that the front rail pocket is too small for the front rail.
Sig frame is complete.. No issues.
if not acceptable to post here ill delete(1911builders sub looks done).. but figured some here would be able to answer.
Was watching a video on back mountain gunsmiths in the Philipines. And most of the builds, and the building process thereof, were mainly 1911s. So feeling inspired.
With respect to 1911 jigs/rail-cutting tools, whats the recommended setup to complete a non-ramped frame ?
I can put together a 3dp 1911 frame with my eyes closed.
So figured Id challenge myself by completing a steel/metal 1911-80.
Im well versed in completing MUP1s and AR80s, so figured 1911-80s are pretty much the same concept.
Cut, cut,. snip snip, drill.
Also .. who is the best, most recommended, 1911-80 vendor in recent times ?

I know theres the lo-point, but that seems janky or rather needs much fiddling to get it to work.
Are there any other C9 frames that are regarded as more print-n-play ?
EGP is having a hi-point sale, so wanting to pick up a kit .. but only if there is a solid frame for the build.

What size metal barrel nut are commonly being used when pairing an dedicated factory ar22 barrel to a 3dp upper ?
Would also be nice to have a manufactuer/part-name(number) of recommended metal barrel nut.
some recent builds.. all have >300rd test count.. i hit the range(and family land) multiple times throughout the week.. so my builds(whatever they may be) get active use
