Still going strong

Sprained my ankle so badly a few days ago that all the medical personel working on me were convinced it must have been an external fracture. Even tore my skin and needed 5 sutures.

In the hospital, I was told three times "we're still analysing your pictures." as I was checked up on. They couldn't believe it but I knew my bones would never fail me.

Usahana coord

I did an usahana look for a local con a bit ago! Totally loved it and was so pleasently surprised by how many people actually recognized the character!!

Wrong base coat

TL;DR, I applied a final varnish instead of my primer, what can I do to fix/salvage this.

Hey, so I just discovered I screwed up big time and hope there's a way to fix it. I just spent days 3D-printing, sanding, gap filling and sanding again of a shoulder high staff (for anyone that cares, Marcille's staff Ambrosia from dungeon meshi).

I was planning to prime it, then do a base colour, then go in and hand paint shadows, highlights etc.

I got a plastic paint primer and a varnish and just applied my final varnish instead of my primer...

The varnish also explicitely says you cannot have acrylic paint applied over top, and guess what kind of paint the primer and base colour is that I got...

I'm kind of panicking right now, because as I said, I spent a lot of time printing, gluing, sanding etc. on it already and I really dont wanna start over... I'm also scared removing the varnish may damage the printed plastic underneath (its made from basic PLA fillament).

Making or modifying a leather corset?

Sorry if this isn't the best tag.

So I wanna do a Murray cosplay from Critical Role s4 and was wondering how to go about making this corset. Should I modify an exisiting piece? If so, does anyone maybe have tips on where to get a good base corset?

Or should I try making it from scratch. I have decent sewing skills but have never made a corset before, so doing this as a starting project seems rather intimidating, but maybe my only option?

I'm not too picky on what materials I wanna use, but would prefer either leather or a natural fabric.

Edit: Meant to say FAKE leather/pleather. I don't have the ambition to become a leatherworker. My bad.
