Flair: Bike Repair / Kids Bikes / Advice

I’m not exactly able to afford a whole bike right now, and the need for A mode of transportation to widen my job possibilities is fairly urgent.

I found this bike someone put to be thrown out last night. I figured it’s worth a shot to try to restore this as it doesn’t look in too bad condition. Methinks it was on a balcony for a while.

Despite being a “kid’s bike” I’m fairly small and can fit it. It also helps with space being a premium in this apartment. I also know almost nothing about bikes, but I figured a ~200 dollar pice tag up front would hurt way more than 20 dollars here and there and repairing it when I have disposable income.

I believe the front tire is flat too, though the pictures don’t really show it.

Can this bike be salvaged?

I’m normally the chef of the house and my partner is subject to my whims. This time I really wanted to make garlic bread. and I improvised with a pan instead of baking it!

I minced a clove of garlic, added butter, paprika, a splash of milk, smoked Gouda, onion salt, pepper, and then spread it on buttered sourdough seasoned with garlic powder and topped with both Parmesan and quesadilla cheese.

I originally came up with this yesterday while stoned out of my mind but I wasn’t too thrilled with the results so this is technically the second attempt.

I had an extra impossible burger patty left in the fridge and I was starving, so I used the last of the muenster and made this work of magic

Hello! I just have a question. This is Jonesy. Our girl is almost 20. She’s always been a single person kind of cat, and it takes her about a week to begrudgingly give others even a small amount of affection. She’s a solitary cat (we only have one, no children or other pets) and is talkative.

I moved in with my partner about November 2024. I am a part time worker so I spend the most time at home during the week. She and I do have our own bond (I gently play “fight” with her and she gums me, I give her the smallest piece of cheese sometimes if I’m making a quesadilla, I’ll hold her so she can see up high and put her down super gentle), but it has never been as close as her and my partner. She’s the sweetest thing, and loves her Papa to death. Her papa is pretty much her whole world.

However, her behavior with me has changed as of recent, after we came back from seeing my folks in April. Instead of being a little distant but still sweet, she’s a spoiled little princess. I’ll be working or on the computer and she’ll walk up to me, place her paws on my chest, and force me to lay back so she could get cuddles. And after the family vacation a few days ago, she is now following me to the bathroom, inchworming on the bath mat, making biscuits, and outright bunting me in the face when we cuddle.

Sure she leaves, but I find her at the foot of my side of the bed and when we came back from vacation she seemed to travel back and forth between my partner and I, as if she couldn’t decide who to lay with. She settled on his legs, so she was close to both of us.

I don’t think I’ve had a cat grow to like me this much, just my parents cats who grew up alongside me, so we had more of a sibling bond. Especially a 20 y/o super senior. I know cats her age will just stick to their favorite person and that’s it, and not really develop bonds otherwise.

(Also she is incredibly healthy for her age, and most people who I talk to don’t believe she’s as old as she is. She’s only got arthritis, thyroid issues which is a recent development, and some behavioral problems stemming from some assholes who double declawed her before my partner got her ~18 years ago or so)

I just want to know, is it possible for super seniors of her age to grow this attached? Does she see me as a parental figure or something?? Or maybe she approves of me being her papa’s long term partner so the affection is extended to me? Or maybe it’s as simple as I just smell more like him or my smell is more intermingled in the apartment?

I even drew her on rock like our ancestors ☝️🤓

Was chilling by the pool with partner’s fam and saw these fruits on this tree. Clearly edible, as I ate one. I told them I’d ask

Thinking they’re unripe apricots, nectarines, plums, or (less likely) peaches. The inside is like, this purplish, orangish red but I didn’t take a pic sorry!!

I doodled a "Daisy" (I call her Jackie, lmao) while working on a separate piece of art. I hc her to be alt, drawing from the emo/scene etc scene in the 2000s.

This fits multiple flairs I guess (Showing off my collection), but mostly this is complaining about the absurdity that has become properly finishing this master set (minus g ratings, I’m not that masochistic).

I foolishly declared my stinglash collection “finished” despite how absolutely wrong I was. My ass has been looking for the missing choco/orange ever since. Enclosed is the visual differences between the two, graciously saved from The Google and its friend eBay.

One day, I was thumbing through Mercari at work, when I stumbled upon a glittergan stinglash!! I’ve never hit “buy” so fast, as I had no idea if the chance would present itself again. It’s a little silly; having secured The Glittergan before our choco boy.

That was the second mistake, thinking that the glittergan hunt was over. But man, I only thought there was one kind! Who could blame me for not looking at the finer details like the unpainted face plate and the different attribute after a whole year?

So now, this is the second time I was fooled by this scorpion into thinking my hunt was over, and I don’t realise until today when I was complaining to my partner about how stupid this hunt has gotten, when I offhandedly mentioned that I “even got the glitter before this choco brown fuck” (quoted) and then googled said glitter to find out I secured an alt I didn’t even know existed.
